~ Over a Decades Worth of Ninja Turtles ~

It took me awhile, but I finally took some pictures of my collection. I started collecting Ninja Turtles figures about 11 - 13 years ago when I was around 5 - 7 years old. I got my first set of original Ninja Turtles from my Mom and one of my brothers. One Saturday they came home with a bag full of Ninja Turtles; that day I got Raphael, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, Bebop, Rocksteady, and a Foot Soldier. That was the start of my collection, and those Turtles that I got that day are still in my collection. I used to go to yards sales every week and find at least a few Ninja Turtles that I didn't have yet, and they would always be less than a dollar. If they were more than a dollar, I wouldn't buy it; back then, I only got two dollars each week for allowance, so a dollar was a lot for me. Anyway, after a couple years, I started to collect other things, DragonBall Z, Power Rangers, DBZ cards, Poke'Mon cards... ect. But I almost always had my Ninja Turtles displayed. This year I decided to only buy Ninja Turtles for a few years, and in the past five months my collection has more than doubled in size. Well, that's enough talking, now here's my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collection!
Feel free to leave any comments.

Thanks, Canadrome. It took me over 10 years and $500 to get all of that stuff.

TheCanadiandrome 10-16-2012 02:32 PM

lucky only $500 dude! most people would likely look at that and say it took them that long and many thousands lol

Great displays, and the intertwining of the Mirage comics and the figures is a cool idea that I've never seen. I also like how you divided each shelf of figures to a central theme (Movies, first wave of the OT, Giant Figures). BTW, what printing is that Mirage #1 you've got?

Most of this stuff is from yard sales and shops. I'm lucky to live where a lot of comic/toy shops are.

Thanks! I always thought that my figures looked kinda plain without some kind of background, so I decided to put my comics behind them.

The #1 is the third printing; I got it off of ebay for around $25 a few months ago.

One day I hope to get the first printing of #1. It is the main thing I am looking for.

Well my Super Powers will be going into storage soon, so I will have more space for Ninja Turtles figures, but even if I run out of space, I'll keep buying them. I won't stop until I have every Ninja Turtle figure from every line, every vehicle, every playset, and every comic; well, I think you know where I'm going with this.

It's not about when will I stop collecting, it's about when will I go bankrupt.

Darn you for pointing that out!

Seriously, though, I bid $80 on the last complete one I seen on ebay, but I still didn't win. I won't pay that much for one figure very often, but I will for a weird variant like that.

TheCanadiandrome 10-16-2012 03:39 PM

Thanks for the compliments, everyone!
