What is your favorite Movie III figure?
Sure, this line is probably the laughingstock of the vintage era, but it can still be fun having these figures, especially since they are so cheap and you can always add Shredder in to make your "what could have been" scenes. For me, I like all four Turtles the best as the Turtles' heads actually look better than they were in the movie, their facial expressions are very appropriate for each Turtle, and the Ninja outfits are pretty pleasing to my eyes. Warlord is probably the best out of all the humans with a good selection of weapons and has a good bold design and decent articulation. Walker and Kenshin are tolerable but a bit bland in appearance. But of course, Splinter and April are laughingstocks with poor, sterile designs, poor articulation, and poor head sculpts. Princess Mitsu often cited as being the most affordable figure from the vintage era to get MOC, but would make a good base for a Renet custom by simply dying her hair blonde and adding clock hands on her circles, and the accessories are approriate as well with the deer horn knife and time-slippin scepter straight of Mirage #8.

I always try to collect movie versions of Human characters over comic versions. I just like that they model an actual person rather than a drawing. That makes April my favorite in this line, though it would be nice if it looked much more like Paige Turco.

My favorite is actually the "Samurai Evil War Horse" that came with some random castle guard. I have my Ninja Knights Raphael riding that horse. They look pretty bad-ass together. :ttwisted:

I actually liked the Movie III figures as a kid and as of now, but I am a huge Raph fan so Raph would be my most favorite out of the bunch. As a kid I was just in love with the little removable face cover or mouth cover they came with...don't know why lol!:D

I don´t think I can follow you in this one. I love the ot tmnt figures but the Third Movie and the action figure line based on it....sucks. It´s only my opinion of course, so I would pick Walker.

I thought the movie was fun and quirky, but the figures were pretty lame. So if I had to pick, I'd pick the rebel soldier with war horse. Or Mike, just cause he's always been my fav. |
Whit with removable Casey mask was my fave!
His catapult was fun too! :D |
I picked the Warlord, he was the first I bought after watching the movie back in Summer 1993. Why I picked him first? Well, because he was the bad guy. I eventually collected all the other figures, I don't think they look so bad, on the contrary, even if of course they'll never be my favourite out of the vintage era.
And yes, Movie III Splinter looks a bit lame. |
