2012 Shredder Variant

Has anyone else noticed a Shredder black armored variant? Is this simply a mistake/error? I apologize if this has already been discussed. I just found it to be interesting.

I'm pretty sure the guy that sold that Shredder sells a lot of custom figures.

I remember when this was posted on the forum a few weeks back. As cool as it looks, I think the general consensus was that it was a strong possibility we were looking at a custom that was repackaged.

I agree. We would see more than 1 floating around if it was a factory variant.

Custom or not, the Shredder is indeed black underneath the silver.

The one I received from Playmates has the silver flecked off across his chest revealing the black base paint.
