Would an error like this have value?

I was just wondering if an error like this (see picture) would have any value? If so, I won't let my son open it and instead will just buy another and tuck this one away...

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Not really, no. A very few collectors like to focus on these errors and you MIGHT get one of them to pay a little more than retail, but it's not ever going to be worth a lot more than a regular one. These errors are pretty common in the newer lines especially.

I would say no. Not a pretty error.

I would keep it sealed. It's kinda cool. I saw one of th OT figures with a similar error sell on ebay for $60. Though I would just keep it for level of coolness, not necessarily for future value.

Keep it sealed. There are always collectors for errors. I have sold many random packaging errors over the years.

very true.

If it were Splinter's bio card on the back, it would be a true error.
