Krang 11" Andriod Body AFA 85 Lost by AFA/UPS... Please Help
so i recently got my 11" krang's Android Body back from AFA and they had messed up on the casing, so i sent it back to AFA for recasing as they said they would take care of it. So i sent it back.
Long story short. UPS delivered it to the wrong address and now it is gone. a full investigation has been done and they were unable to locate the item. YES FML!!!!! So was hoping the dromers would keep an eye out for the item on the web and report it to this post or me personally if they happen to see it Heres the AFA #10047507 It is graded in the classic view style. this was pretty much the worst expereince considereing it was my first time sending stuff into AFA and this is what happen. this was my prize peice of my collectiong. Hope one of you finds it! Heres a Picture of it just incase: http://i50.tinypic.com/2ypg428.jpg |
What's wrong with the case? That may be another way to identify your lost item if it surfaces?

its not clear view style like it was suppose to be :/

Hopefully, whoeer it got misdeliverd to will return it to UPS. I've seen UPS do all kinds of stupid stuff, not to mention the stupid things the receiver can do. Keep it, open it, toss it, give it to a kid. :o

Good Luck Joe! I will keep my eyes and ears open for you.

Unfortunately, UPS and FedEx don't have convenient ways for people to report having something misdelivered to them. I had something delivered to me that wasn't mine and the only way I could figure to let them know was to call them, wait on hold, etc. Ultimately I determined it wasn't worth the hassle since it was just a packet of college information the person could request again. I hope your package surfaces eventually!

I will look out for the item.
I hope you delcared the value correctly. Do you have to negotiate with UPS over the value of the item, or will they provide the amount that it was insured for no questions asked? If located, is it still your property after UPS pays you off? |
well i insured $350 with it, but if i can find documentation on it selling for more i can get the requested amount.
and not sure if its still my property. i hope it is. So if anyone can help out with documentation on it being worth more, that would greatly be helped. |
I believe UPS packages are insured for $100 by default, you have to specify a different amount. USPS, if it's not insured, you're s.o.l.
|
I have it insured threw AFA.

Joe did not finish this story. AFA found Krang under a desk with a Christmas present on top and has the item now in hand. Call off the search party.
Cowabunga. |
We're happy to hear this Joe!

While its awsome that you got the great news of them finding it, they had better make it up to you in some IMPRESSIVE way! All the stress and whatnot about losing such a sweet item woulda had me going berserk. Hope they make it up to you in some manor!
Guess thats an amazing Christmas gift huh!! |

When I read joe's story in the first post, my immediate assumption was that this was probably an error on AFA's part and not the fault of UPS. I chuckled when a few posts later JOE updated the story and confirmed my suspicion, thanks JOE! I love AFA grading, I know how much work and cost goes into the process (ESPECIALLY on larger items like this) so my heart was bleeding for you lol. Really Glad that AFA was able to find it joe! EDIT: Being the nosey reporter that I am <grin> I was dying to know what the piece graded so I went to AFA's site and looked up the serial number. 85! GREAT piece. I too prefer the clear view style when grading! |
So...why has Joe not replied to this topic? :trolleye:
