I will give you another chance to turn back now. THIS THREAD CONTAINS SPOILERS. DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN TMNT VOL. 4 # 3. Thank you. Scroll down to read.

Okay, here's a quick run down on the major events that happen in the comic. It opens up with a team of explorers searching the mountains of Venezuela for a reptilian creature that many have sighted. It's believed to be a dinosaur. However, the team runs into a strange creature that seems to have destroyed them with a laser-type weapon. Next, Don, Raph, and Casey get the armored car to work. The government prepares an all out attack on the alien space craft headed towards New York. Mikey leaves the hospital with some help from the Winged dude. The incoming Utroms (izzat what they're called?) cause a frenzy with the citizens, and Mikey and the Winged dude get targeted as the aliens. Splinter and Shadow watch the news in horror as several gangs fire at the two. Meanwhile, Case, Raph, and Don get the armored car out of the sewers. And finally, the book ends with a failed attack by stealth bombers and the landing of the Utroms.

That summary was made due to a request from Machias and Kali. I hope that it's enough...I skipped a lot of details, so you'll have to get the book to read about the little things that happen. All in all, I thought it was an awesome issue, and I think Peter's doing an excellent job with the new series. Make sure to pick this one up! It answers a few questions brought up by the first two issues. This turtle gives TMNT Vol. 4, issue 3, two blue thumbs up.

Well whilst I'm here I may as well ask if someone will post a description of issue 2... cos I never got that one. Or tell me which thread it's in if there already is one...

There's a thread entitled: "Issue #2 Review (possible spoilers)." I'm sure you'll find a nice summary about comic #2 in that thread

HorseTechie 04-29-2002 11:56 AM

*snert* You forgot to mention what Splinter was watching before the late-breaking news came on, Azure.

(Finally got her comic on Saturday)

Machias Banshee 04-29-2002 01:09 PM

Huh? :???: Splinter's pastime?

azure turtle 04-29-2002 01:20 PM

LOL! I thought that was pretty funny...

HorseTechie 04-29-2002 02:11 PM

*heheh* And I thought my hubby was a cheesier for liking Jerry Springer!

Machias Banshee 04-29-2002 04:00 PM

Splinter watches Jerry Springer?!

*sees Splinter watchng tv, chanting Jerry whenever the trailerpark queens battle it out...*

*shakes head* Man, that is just too wierd...

azure turtle 04-29-2002 05:37 PM

Ooh, but it was so funny! I bet you'll laugh once you get your comic, Machias.

HorseTechie 04-29-2002 07:09 PM

Though.. I just relaized something... in all the events they were touching base with, they didn't show what Leo was up to at the moment.

azure turtle 04-29-2002 07:52 PM

Ooh, you're right, HT! I'm assuming Leo was still lounging around the lair. He'll probably see the same broadcast that Splinter and Shadow saw, which will give him an appearance in # 4. Wow, I can't believe I didn't notice that 'til you pointed it out. Leo fans might get angry...

Machias Banshee 04-29-2002 08:24 PM

Knowing Leo, he's probly practising his brains out...

azure turtle 04-29-2002 08:41 PM

True, or he could've been meditating...

Kali 04-29-2002 08:44 PM

Or maybe still watching, what was it, Junkyard Wars?

azure turtle 04-29-2002 08:45 PM

LOL! I thought that was funny! Leo watching Junkyard Wars, Splinter watching Springer...and I thought I knew them well. :goofygri:

Machias Banshee 04-29-2002 09:18 PM

Actually...Junkyard wars requires a level of skill, as well as the knowledge of how things work, as well as the importance of teamwork.
And as for Springer.....a PERFECT thing for a practice in patience.

Kali 04-29-2002 09:28 PM

Yeah, but they're just watching. *shrugs* I guess everyone has that one intrest that doesn't quite fall in with the rest of their personality.

Machias Banshee 04-29-2002 10:06 PM

But everyone gets involved with what they like to watch the most! ya know, like the game shows, when you shout out the answers to the person on TV who doesnt have a clue, or the scary movies where you cry out for them not to go to a room cuz yu KNOW whats gonna happen when they go in...

azure turtle 04-30-2002 06:16 PM

Yup, I do that. I love to say lines while watching my favorite movies, too.
