Nickelodeon TMNT Toys Coming To Mcdonalds

Hey everyone, 8 brand new TMNT toys from the new nickelodeon show are coming soon to Mcdonalds! Here's a link.
http://www.happymeal.com/en_US/index.html#/Toys (just click "Next Happy Meal" and press "See All Toys" on the TMNT side (the other side is Moshi Monsters). Not a big fan of them, they don't look very good. It seems that the first set of turtles will have an action feature and the other set is a pull back and go set.

Awe... its a shame that they look kind of lame.

Ninjinister 11-24-2012 10:42 AM

Yeah, those look pretty ass even for Happy Meal toys.

Yeah, seriously. Back in my day, the toys were actually decent.

It's not that. Look at the Rise of the Guardians stuff. It looks infinitely better than the Turtles ones. Heck the white haired guy and the rabbit look like real store-bought figures on initial glance.

I thought the 2k7 movie toys were all right. I still have my Donatello and Raphael figures on the shelf.

And didn't Burger King do the 2k3 toys?

Yes, Burger King did the 2k3 toys, but Nickelodeon's license is with Mcdonald's. (They have spongebob toys there sometimes)

Its possible they were not allowed to make decent figures by nick or playmates because at $2 to just buy the toy it would have been competition for the actual toys...

XD Mcdonald's never really does a good paint job on their toys, so I wasn't suprised when I saw the turtles. Donnie and Mikey (not the ones on the motorcycles) are probably the best of the bunch. Raph's hands look like Boxing Gloves, and Leo looks like he is missing chunks of his chest, but this is probably for the action feature.

Thanks for sharing this! I'll still pick them up. They look more like statue posed and will look good on my shelf of loose toys.

Hmm if it weren't for the shrunken heads I would be into the posed turtles. The motorcycle group just looks bad though.

Now that you mention it, their heads are very small compared to the rest of their bodies.

Eh...pretty average for fast food toys. If I get any of these, they'll be for my nephew to play with when I watch him. Though if I get one of those Raph's with the spinning sai...I might add it to my collection.

Here you go! I think the top figures look pretty good for a cheap fast food toy!

When will the toy promotion begin?

Probably sometime next month, say, around December 5th maybe.

I hope McDonalds could learn from Burger King about how to promote the Turtles, but simply starting with a set of eight is a nice start, and having things such as single-episode DVDs or a free episode code to a mobile device could come later on. The sewer covers are a nice touch on the standard figures, though the weapons look a bit off, especially Michelangelo's. Expect the plastic material similar to the 2007 movie toys, I wish they made Michelangelo's vehicle more orangish as opposed to brown, which looks more suitable for Splinter.

So does anyone know if there's any sort of order in the way that these Happy Meal toys are released? Like how long do they issue one toy before changing to the next? A week? Couple days? Or are they all just random?

I think there is 2 different toys each week, so to get the entire set it would take 4 weeks.
