Classic series 2 Speculations/ Wants

Hi, To me the classic series has blown away the new Nick line and the Necas.
I was just wondering if there is any news on series 2, who is likely, and who do you guys want to see?

PS> Sorry if there is a thread on this, but I couldnt find it.

My wants

2003 Turtles
1990 Movie Turtles
PUNK FROGS LOL
Bebop and RockSteady
Splinter 80s
Shredder 80s
The Nickelodeon turtles. (done to Classic series standard)

what I think we will see.

I think a series 2 would most likely be

April
Splinter
Shredder
Purple Foot.

I think they will struggle to do a scale Bebop and Rocksteady, as much as I want them.

There's this thread, which is specifically about the future of the Classic Collection figures:

...and there's this one, which is a more general wishlist for the future of TMNT toys:

Anyways, as for what I want to see next? I know they're old sculpts, don't have anywhere near the articulation of the CC Turtles, and Playmates not even have them anymore, but I REALLY want to see those comic-based figures they were going to release but couldn't because of NECA coming in and releasing their **** figures...

I think it's funny that, after all this time, Midtown Comics still has a listing up for them:http://www.midtowncomics.com/store/d...a+Turt_1002220

As for them doing anything "in-scale" with the current Turtles, the only figure I can see them making the right size, would be Splinter. Everyone else is going to be too small in-comparison. Shredder alone would have to be at least an eight inch figure.

I really admire NECA's TMNT figures, but the figures that Playmates were supposed to release looked pretty damn good to me as well. Really wish those got a release.

True, but this thread's title is much more appropriate. ;)

In any event, I really want the next wave to have April, Shredder, Krang (in his walker), Bebop, Rocksteady, and Splinter. Past that, Baxter-Fly, Metalhead, Slash... I'd love a ton.

Ah, sorry, Ill check the links out, thanks

Wave 2:

Shredder
Bebop
Rocksteady
April
Splinter
BAF Krang's Android Body

Wave 3:

Casey Jones
Irma
Baxter Stockman
Slash
Mondo Gecko

Wave 4:
2K3 Turtles
Karai

If we're sticking with Fred Wolf characters for now then Splinter, Shredder, Bebop & Rocksteady would be logical. I half suspect every wave will have turtles since they sell the best so I got to wonder were they'll take that.

I tend to think 4kids'd turtles be rather redundant right away as the 2K3 figures were fairly accurate to the show. I always wondered with the varients why we never got figures based on Same As It Never Was.

Figures based Eastman & Laird's later and definitve Turtle version would be pretty simple for them to do as it's essentialy the classics with a few modifications.

Heh, every time I see "Classic Series 2..." as the most recently updated thread I get really excited that official announcements have been made. And then, of course, I get really disappointed when I see it's just wishful speculation. :tcry:

I guarantee OT Shredder, Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady will come eventually.

I'm less sure on April, since April tends to sell less than other figures especially in todays market.

Donatello_ftw 12-07-2012 05:38 AM

I'd love to see Krang and shredder from the OT. Splinter would be great too! I just ordered the turtles from amazon for about 65, not bad considering I've had trouble finding Donatello for less than 25 alone.

Maybe they could 2-pack April and Splinter?
