Even more scrapped TMNT 4 90's art!

Whew. Lookit dat.

Good to know that whoever bought the art and script package when it went to auction decided to share with the rest of us. The dude who bought the Transformers the Movie first draft didn't, which was a huge bummer for the community.

"Bugman", "Lawson", "Talbot". Very cute.

Nice artwork...

CyberCubed 12-14-2012 02:17 PM

Kirby with a black bandana and claws makes him look exactly like Slash. What's the point of making him look so similar to Slash?

Ninjinister 12-14-2012 02:21 PM

Look! Three toes!

Avatar Yuffie 12-14-2012 04:32 PM

Nice! Thanks for the link!

I remember a few months ago that a number of those pictures were already posted on the original auction website and I ripped them.

Are there any new character art that wasn't already shared before?

I put all the old files together into a zip file in case anyone is still interested:

EDIT: This was my favorite piece that the ComicsAlliance didn't repost:

This seems to be a major plot point in the would-be movie pitch.

Too bad a full script has yet to materialize on the internet!

Are you suggesting there is a partial script somewhere? I'd love to read it.

Not so much a partial script, just the pages that showed up in the auction preview images.

saul attempted to transcribe as much as he was able to read:

wow. not a big fan of any of those ideas. especially considering the downward spiral direction of quality the movies were in back then. seem cheesy on the page...can only imagine them cheesier on screen.

D-Nizzy 12-14-2012 09:38 PM

With electric hands!

Thankfully this never happened... I didn't think there was anything that could make Jar Jar look like Wolverine.

Andrew NDB 12-14-2012 10:09 PM

Yeah, this had the potential to be truly, truly horrific. Somewhere there exists a lot of Mike Dooney biomechanical designs for the movie, too... I've never seen any of them posted but I know they exist.

Jester 12-14-2012 10:28 PM

The more I see, the more I'm glad this DIDN'T get made....yikes.

I can't help but think it would make for a very entertaining comic book, however.

I admit, I'd be interested in seeing this fleshed out from the closest-to-firm version of the script that exists out there into comic book form...

... but not that interested.

Jester 12-15-2012 01:38 AM

Well, darn. :P

Powder 12-15-2012 02:05 AM

If it's any consolation I was thinking about inking and coloring some of this stuff for kicks.

Newton Gimmick 12-15-2012 06:04 AM

What's with Eastman constantly writing Kasey?

oldmanwinters 12-15-2012 07:00 AM

One thing I do feel kinda bad about is how harsh the internet peeps are being on Kevin's art style now that this stuff has finally garnered mainstream interest.

Some of the comments I've seen include "Are these really movie concepts, or eighth grade boys binder scribbles?" and "Let's just say it was easier to get hired as a concept artist in the 90's."

I mean, I know Kevin's art has never been polished, but that's a little harsh.:tconfuse:
