Sid
I noticed one of the Purple Dragons is named Sid. I wonder if he's supposed to be Casey's cousin Sid, he did work with the Purple Dragons in the 2k3 series after all.
Hmm, good catch. That's totally possible, would make for a very interesting plot twist. Now I'm hoping that happens! :trazz:
Might just be a common villain name. Same reason the pet turtle is named, "Spike" its just such a common overused name to make someone sound cooler than they are.
Sid is used occasionally as a villain (the Toy Story villain for instance), but I expect lots of tension between him and Casey later in the series, especially if he turns out to be the series' new Hun.
Which one is Sid? The husky one?
Anyways, according to Kenny Byerly's blog, Sid was named by writer Jeremy Shipp (who seems to have a pretty deep knowledge of the 4kids series). So it's possible. Certainly an interesting theory. |
It really bothers me that the Purple Dragons only consist of 3 people now. They're not much of a gang as a trio of theives.
I hope they bring in Angel, Hun or Bebop and Rocksteady to add to their numbers. |
You're off topic Mr. Crankshaw.
Well its better than making a new topic about it.
As for Sid, kinda seems unlikely to me. He probably would have cracked a joke about how he has a cousin, "running around in a hockey mask" or something like that as an inside gag to fans. |

I didn't catch this at all. I thought this topic was about Leatherhead's human owner who wore a shirt that said "Sid" which is a throwback to the first movie. But it'd be interesting if that was the case.
The shirt actually didn't say Sid... I don't know why they thought that.
