Leatherhead Action Figure

After watching this past Saturday's episode, really want an action figure of the nick version leatherhead. However, wasn't this supposed to come out with baxter stockman and snakeweed? I guess this got pushed back for a future wave. I maybe behind the news, can someone fill me in?

Thanks

I hope so, he was always one of my favorites next to metalhead

I really hope so.. I would love to have a deluxe Leatherhead with sounds, but even just a basic figure would make me extremely happy.:tgrin:

He was never announced as such, so I don't understand why people continue to think he was ever going to be released in the same wave as them. Yes, their concept art was shown off next to each other in Playmate's 2012 Toy Fair display, but that's really nothing to go off of.

Anyways, I too am really looking forward to his inevitable toy. I'm expecting another Dogpound situation (small compared to how big he actually is in the show, limited articulation, small color pallet, etc). Though I actually like Dogpound's figure, so I imagine I'll also enjoy Leatherhead's. I'd also love to see a plush version of him released.

Have they made plush toys yet for the series? It would be cool to see LH as a plush!:tgrin:

Not yet, but it's pretty much inevitable. Especially with all the other random merch they've been cooking up. Almost all of which I haven't seen outside of pictures on here...

Oh, okay. I really need to get out more! The local stores around me are all sold out of Turtle merch for the holidays.:(

leatherhead is so cool I hope we see him again!

I was really unimpressed with the Dogpound figure I hope that the leatherhead figure is done with a little bit more thought he is such a cool character.

Yeah! I would love to see the turtles use him in future episodes during missions. The turtles+April+Leatherhead=WIN:tgrin:

100% chance we will get him guys!

I am certain we will get a Leatherhead it's just a question of how they will make it fit into the standard TMNT card packaging or will they do something special? I wish they would, but for display and marketability reasons I don't think that will happen. They will figure a way to get him just small enough to fit onto the same cards the other figures use.

Take a look at the upcoming snakeweed and baxter figures (and dogpound) and you'll have an idea of the size (and probably paint/sculpt quality -- though I hope they continue to improve on that) we'll be seeing in Leatherhead.

Leather head is a must for me. I hope we do get a release of him.

There was a sketch of Leatherhead back at the Toy Fair and given there was a 4kids figure, I see no reason why I'd see this come out for the next wave. But given some similarities in design with the 4kids figure, its a good figure to hold us over. I'd like to see better articulation along with a tail that can snap and pop out to attack enemies in terms of my wants.

Let's just hope he isn't as small and crappy as the Dogpound figure they made.

What a shame they can raise the scale for "bigger" characters like Leatherhead, Dogpound and Snakeweed.

I wouldnt mind if they just gave a slightly modified 2k3 leatherhead in the new packaging I'd like it. You guys are are probabling thinking im insane...

Hahahaha!!:tlol:.. Wait, you're serious?:teek:

I kid.. Though like I said, I would be happy if we get a basic figure. I will be extremely happy if we get a larger electronic figure(even if it's something like a Toys R Us exlusive).

That's a really great idea! In fact, Transformers is doing that for Transformers PRIME. smaller characters like Bumblebee and Arcee are in one line, while larger characters like Bulkhead and Optimus are in another.

They should do that, they could call the line Mega Mutants. Around 15 to 20 dollar price point. Characters could include Dogpound, Snakeweed, Spider Bytez, and Leatherhead. It would be awesome :trazz:

it wouldnt be unreasonable for them to have a larger size class of figures. transformers does it and its successful. they could easily make a larger leatherhead and charge $12.99 and the masses would be happy.

Here are the pics of the TMNT listings. Like I said before, take these with a grain of salt as they could be subject to change, but this is what to expect as of now.

This is really great news! :tparty:
