Karai's Design
 

Okay, I noticed the newly revealed pic of Karai is being discussed in three different threads already.

If it's okay with everyone else, let's just move the discussion here.

It's gonna take some time to grow on us but I'm sure everyone will come down when the actual Episode 'New Girl in Town' airs. I'm personally more excited about the New Episodes returning! :)

It's awful. She looks like a mix of a monkey or werewolf especially with that hair style.

She also looks nothing like any past Karai, so why not just make this a new character? Horrible design and the worst of the series.

One thing I at least need to ask...

Has Nick specifically said this character IS Karai?

It seems obvious that it is, but I guess it's at least possible she could also be "Mrs. Campbell."

It's in a news article introducing Karai, it's her in a duel with Leonardo, and they said Karai is a teen in this version. It's her.

I had forgotten Nick said they were making her a teenager in this go-round. I guess that would probably explain the weird punk/hipster/whatever style earrings she's sporting.

They probably did it so April can fight her and be evenly matched.

I think it's a terrible look. Atrocious, even. She looks like an ape from Planet of the Apes.

Don't like the boobie chest armor, either. She's a ninja, wouldn't that sh*t clang around and get in the way?

Hmm... good point. It seems a confrontation between the two will be inevitable.

Maybe it will at least be more plausible in this show than it was in the Imagi film.

She's a half chimp and half wolf abomination.

I hope the people from Nick are this thread so they can see the backlash. Maybe they can change her design when Season 2 comes along.

That's what I'm thinking. It would be cool to see April get to use her training!

She does look kind of like a mutant monkey, but I don't entirely hate it. I'll wait and see how she plays in the show, maybe her personality will fit her look somehow.

She looks almost...rodent like....kinda reminds me of Verminous Scum from Captain Planet... either that or she could be a Klingon. Either way... yech!

At this rate Karai will mutate too.

Shame because all the Nick designs were good up till now.

Well... a few months back, there were a number of Dromers who were speculating that Karai might actually be Splinter's long-lost daughter!

I think her design is interesting. I'll wait to see her in motion before I judge.

This isn't Karai to me. Looks like some goth school kid with a metal bra for Halloween.

I understand her being a teen, so she can fight april. But she is way 2 ugly..

Same here. That just might be her bad side lol.

This kinda makes me wonder if she actually isn't Miwa after all.

I can't see why the design would be any better in animation.
