Hello!
Ive been a TMNT fan since I was around 13 years old.
The very 1st TMNT I watched was the 2k3 4kids version.
When I saw the awesome story, awesome action, the cool rock soundtrack, and the dark gritty atmosphere to it, I was instantly hooked.
Now, Im watching the Nick 2012 version, and still dreaming on having a good dark gritty TMNT show.

Welcome to the Drome. You'll love it here. I think the new Nick show is a perfect blend of light and happy and serious at times as well. I don't think we'll ever get a true dark and gritty show because at the end of the day, this franchise will be marketed towards kids. If you want dark and gritty, read the comics.

Aloha !!!!! Very welcome ! ! ! !

Welcome to the Drome!!!! :tgrin::tgrin::tgrin::tgrin: :tcool: Enjoy the place! :twink:

Welcome aboard, dude! Like BubblyShell22 said, the Nick show has a perfect blend of comedy and action,so I doubt it will get very dark and gritty. But there have been some dark moments on the show, like the Shredder vs Turtles fight in "The Gauntlet".

Welcome my friend, to the boards! I hope you enjoy it here. :tsmile:

Welcome to the drome, buddy:tgrin:

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the Drome! I'm sure you'll love it here!

Glad to have you at the Technodrome Forums! Like some said earlier, I don't think you'll get a darker/gritter cartoon than the 2K3 version. Now if you're looking into comics, then Mirage and IDW will have that covered.

Hope to see you around the forums!

Fantastic, thanks for joining us. We sure are getting lots of great new members lately.

I think the Nick show has a fair bit of grit. That first battle agaisnt Shredder was pretty brutal for a kid's show. And the upcoming Rat King ep looks pretty dark.

For me the 1990 TMNT movie was perfectly dark and gritty -- loved it! We may never get a show like it but we'll always have the Mirage comics. IDW is going a great job now, too.
