Favorite Rat King design
 

So I just want to ask... which version of the Rat King has the best design in your opinion

Mirage but I like all of them.

Mirage I like Nicks version too but they completely changed his look. He looks less badass mummy and more deranged zombie lol.

Mirage for me. I loved Nick's episode, but still not feeling that design.

2k3 Rat King for me.

The '87 Rat King always impressed me, as well as the Playmates figure with all the details.

Rat King has looked cool in every incarnation, including Archie.

What I do like about the '87 one is they didn't have to make him look all deformed, he just looked like a normal guy who wrapped himself in bandages. I like it when characters aren't overdesigned.

Definitely the Mirage version. He's cool in any version though.

'87 cartoon by far. Mirage and Archie are close because they match the '87 cartoon that defines the character. The 4Kids not being Rat King but an imperfect clone wrapped in bandages? Pass! While I like the motives and background I will not be able to get behind this zombie look on the Nick cartoon. It just does not look right to me. Hope a desgin change comes before the end of the series run. Look forward to what desgin will come out of IDW.

I voted for the Nick design.

Nick design all the way, I think he looks scarier then other rat kings.

Mirage. It's the definitive look for the character. The Nick version is creepy, but too radical a departure.

I will say, though, it's impressive how close the Fred-Wolf design stuck to Lawson's original drawings. Of all the Mirage-to-'87 cartoon designs, he may have come through the most unscathed.

Casey Jones came pretty close to the original Mirage comics design as well, expect for the stupid shoulder pad.

Oh, yeah. Forgot about him. He's surprisingly close as well.

I voted for Nick Rat King as well. It's almost like his eyes can see into your soul. :trazz:

Mirage by far.

Mirage is my favorite. 87 cartoon comes close, but it's too "clean", if you understand what I mean. The action figure was very dirty, especially in the face and hair design, he really looked like a diseased and infected loner.

The Mirage is the most detailed and wins my vote. The OT just looks cheaply made, while Nick's is a bit over the top in terms of an alternate scary mask that almost feels like that He-Man villain. The 4kids version might as well be the Rat Mummy.
