Who is your favorite Donatello voice actor of all time?
 

Remember the Leonardo and Michelangelo voice actor polls? Well now its time for a geeky one, Donatello. He did have one replacement in the 1987 series and the Golden Harvest movies, so he wasn't as consistant as Leo and Don, but still more dependable than Raphael. Please vote and discuss about why you feel his Donny voice is better than the rest!

Though Sam Regal was the VA who moved Donnie up to 2nd place in my TMNT favorites list, I'd be remiss not to give this to one of my all time favorites, Rob Paulsen.

I'd say I like his Donatello even more then I liked his Raphael.

Sam Regal. Even though I pretty much love them all, I didn't even have to think about this one. Sam nailed the character. I "hear" his voice when reading Don in the IDW and Mirage comics.

i always hear corey feldman or barry gordon. tho, rob's take is, too, becoming a fave. but honestly, when reading the comics, old, new, archie, whatever it is, i mostly hear feldman.

Sometimes, I hear Sam Riegal, but I didn't like his voice that much. Corey Feldman's doesn't go with the character. Mitchell Whitfield was okay because he actually made Donnie sound geeky. I do like the Donatello in the second movie (Adam Carl), but there are times where it can sound like Sam Riegal. So, if I want both a Sam Riegal or Mitchell Whitfield, somehow I get Rob Paulsen. His Donatello stands out because he's geeky AND socially awkward.

Face it - Rob is "da man.":tcool:

Ow..difficult choice. I vacillate between Barry Gordon and Rob Paulsen..at the end I chose Gordon just becuse he could give Donatello so many different voices. But Paulsen is of course amazing too! They're both Nr. 1 for me ^^

Sam Riegal for me. Thanks to him, 2k3 Don is the definitive Don for me.

Definitely Barry Gordon from the OT. For once Donatello was NOT given a, "Stereotype nerdy or soft-spoken" voice.

Barry Gordon's Donatello was the most outspoken, had leadership qualities, had a temper, and had excellent range in his voice.

Barry Gordon's Donatello doesn't get enough praise. THAT's how Donatello should be, not the, "soft-spoken and somewhat nerdy" type of voices he gets in other incarnations.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with everything CyberCubed just said!

Did you guys know that most of Donatello's voice actors are Jewish?

This one is really hard... Barry's Don is so burned into my minds ear its hard not to hear his voice when I read Donnie while I read comics.. But Rob's Donnie is just as good IMO that I just can't choose between the two... Corey Feldmen is my solid third pick though.

Yeah, Rob Paulsen's Don doesn't even sound like Raph anymore, it has its own distinct tone.

I still say Barry Gordon is the best for the reasons I listed above, and Sam Regal's is perfect for the 4kids and Mirage incarnations.

My favorite is Sam Reigel.

I also like Rob Paulson but I like him better as Raphael.

I voted for Rob Paulsen. 2k12 Donnie is my favorite version of the character yet, and I think Paulsen fits Donnie perfectly.:tsmile:

While I love Rob as the new Donatello, It Berry Gordon for me.

Me being me, I had to vote for Rob, even though I do enjoy Berry Gordon and Corey Feldman wasn't too bad IMO.
