Karai=Miwa?
 

So this has been a common theory but I don't think there's a thread for this... (if there sorry.)

So do you guys think Karai is Miwa? Here is what I think could be evidence....

-Karai looks to be 17-18... Miwa is probably about the same age depending how lomg it was between the Fire and the mutation.

- Karai calls Shredder 'Father' an old leaked bio stated that Shredder had an adopted daughter named Miwa...

- Shredder made a point in the latest episode about Splinter/Hamato doing something to them both... what Hamato did was not specified but why else would he want Karai to hate a man she never met unless he's trying to turn her against her biological father?

So what do you guys think?

She's obviously Miwa.

They're not going to introduce ANOTHER 16-year old Japanese ninja girl after Karai.

While it is obvious and makes A LOT of sense we can still talk about it... I wonder what Oroku has been telling her about Hamato

I guess we should assume Saki told Miwa/Karai that he was married to Tang Shen and that Yoshi was responsible for the fire that killed her mother.

He probably told her splinter killed her mother..... And in the 80s never rewinded rented videotapes.

It remains a mystery whether the presumed Karai is Karai herself, or is still somewhere else, most likely in Japan controlling that regions' Foot and that Shredder is using Miwa to believe that he is her father. But if Splinter discovers that Karai was formally Miwa, it may persuade him to follow Leonardo in that Shredder is just using Miwa/Karai to conquer the world by giving her special powers.

Seriously I didn't understand most of that.

I thought Karai is Miwa as well.

But who is her real biological father is yet to be certain. She might truly be Yoshi's daughter.

Or she could be Shredder's daughter but then Tang Shen flee from him and married Yoshi later, telling him it is their daughter. Kinda like Kill Bill movies where Beatrix flee from Bill, all for the betterment of her unborn child.

That'd be one heck of a twist.

It's also the kind of twist they wouldn't put in a kid's show....

Anything is possible. The amount of violence in TMNT is abundant compared to other toons, so it's not just a "kids show" per say. So a twist like that wouldn't surprise me.

E.g. of violence: Like how Raph shattered Snakeweed into smithereens? That surprised me how violent his "death" was. And in 2K3, how Leo decapitated Shredder? Pure awesomeness.

These shows are not merely kiddie stuff imo. And I like it.

Hate to agree with him, but how exactly is it not? Doesn't the thing get a Y7? Is it only "not a normal kid's show" because you (and the rest of us adults) like it?

Maybe. If anything it's above average kids show, leaning towards M content imo.

Lets get back on topic about Miwa. What do your think about the relation with Karai?
