1988 Knucklehead

Hello Dear Dromers, It was the year 1988 when the original Tmnt toyline began and
this was the first and only vehicle that the bad guys had back then. Imagine what
might had happened it the toyline was called after the first year?

Fortunately that didn´t happen. Knucklehead´s toybox art with a Foot Soldier...talking? (an early Alpha One version maybe?) and design were very good, and I believe it foreshadowed
the many good things that were yet to come.

Although it had a brief Tv appearance only in season 2 episode "Enter the Fly" and then
in a larger version in Season 3 "Casey Jones: Outlaw hero" (but this one never made it into the toyline).

I still haven´t found a good review on youtube of the Knucklehead (I think it deserves it), only this video

Do you have this Vehicle in your Collection? What do you think about it?
Any memories from your childhood when you bought it that you wanna share ?

Thanks for reading and thanks for all your awesome comments in the rest of my threads.

i dont have it, but hope i get it soon.i always did like this toy but it was sold out before i did get the money fore it and my toy store did never get it back in store. dident it also appear in the archie issue 9

I have one MIB and while its a cool toy, I wish it had a gizmo that activates string/rope around the figure just like in "Enter: The Fly" on Rocksteady. Sadly, Playmates didn't pass the test. That said, its relatively inexpensive (I paid around $7 for it last year) and a classic example of the claw grip.

I had a friend who had this. But he kept using it on his Foot Soldier.

It's in the Chameleon Archie story, where a Foot soldier robot rides this vehicle.

I was never particularly impressed by this...

Mirage in a toy advertising?

i had this one for sure, i got tons of play out of it

I had 2 of these because one broke - a Hero Turtles one and a Ninja Turtles one.

I really liked it!

Never had this as a kid, but I certainly want one now. I loved the giant one that Krang had in the episode "Casey Jones: Outlaw Hero." :tgrin:

I love your tmnt vintage posts. I wish there were more tmnt vintage stuff to explore.

Thanks for your comments, my posts will return....soon

The Knucklehead is such a cool & wacky looking vehicle, wanted it so badly when I was a kid.

Love this toy
I've got my foot soldier on it right now ..
All the vehicles from the original line destroy the new ones
