Not ponytails. Not cottontails. ...

Capcom did all us old timers a favor and convinced Disney to let them have another go at the DuckTales license!

Some might call foul on the nostalgia cash-in scheme, but this was at least a cash-in that clearly required the companies getting a few ducks in a row, legally speaking.

One wonders why they decided to do this now. Looks awesome though, and I hope it leads to some other Duck Tales things finally getting released, you know...like the last season on DVD.

Looks good. Wonder if the Chip N Dale:Rescue Ranger games could get a Remaster/remake/update.
Hope this motivates The final releases of The Disney Afternoon shows on dvd.

Ahhhh! I was just about to post about this! It looks amazing, I am definately going to purchase this. Though I dont really know what ill think of a remastered moon theme. And am i the only one whos excited for a vault of gold to swim through?

D-Nizzy 03-22-2013 11:35 PM

Nice! My wife says they need to do the Rescue Rangers game next.

Rey Jimenez, the game’s producer, said in an interview that if this sells well enough, they'll likely be able to do “Remastered” versions of Chip n’ Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, and Aladdin.

Yes for Aladdin very much. I wouldnt mind an expansion too that covers the other two Aladdin sequels and bits of the tv show.

LOL! That's exactly what I thought when I saw this trailer yesterday...

Totally getting this, by the way... It looks amazing and I LOVED the old NES game!

I'm pretty confident that Wayforward will do a great job once again... I really enjoyed their recent Double Dragon: Neon!

Speaking of video games for Disney cartoons, I was always surprised there was never a video game for their popular late 90s cartoon series, Recess. :ohwell:

I loved that show! :)

The Stryker 03-23-2013 08:36 AM

Maybe because there was literally nothing to make a game out of in that show?

Eh...from the movie plot, zany pranks. microcosm of government, and class system/cliques that used to go on in that show, they could of devised something I'm sure, especially since there was always a kids vs. teachers theme that used to go on. I'm not upset that they didn't, but they could have made an obvious profit on it though considering its popularity. I'm just sayin'... **shoulder shrug**

Some gameplay footage...

Looks like this could be lots of fun!

It will be a travesty if there won't be that awesome The Moon stage song, and a good reason not to buy the game.

Jester 03-24-2013 05:15 PM

Love that they got the voice actors back, though Burger Beagle sounds a bit rusty.

So that was YOU in the comments, AT-man...

Donatello19 03-24-2013 05:30 PM

Oh no, the theme song is stuck in my head....AGAIN!

**Duck Tales, woo oooh...*

Yeah, OK. Don't buy a good game because the music changed. That's stupid.

It's an idea that's been kicked around for years. This comes fully from the game being an NES classic more than anything.
