Mikey's kusarigama
How does Mikey's nunchucks turn into a kusarigama??
I just don't see how it works XD http://nick-intl.mtvnimages.com/uri/...e&quality=0.91 I mean where does the other end go???? not saying it's not cool XD I'm just wondering for fun~ (since we have time) ANY IDEAS? |
Though it's not detailed there, I would assume it's sort of like a pocket knife. Ya know, a slit down the side of the handle where the blade can go. Button activated.

I meant where does the other end of the nunchuck go. |
And how does the chain extend that long? Where the hell does it all fit when it's in nunchuck-mode?
|
Another great question would be where the hell did that long a** chain came from. IDW's Michaelangelo can read japanese, maybe nick's mikey is a wizard :P
|
I always figured the actual design went like this
The "other end" of the nunchuck is actually an empty compartment in which the extra chain is stored (which would make this end of the nun chuck more heavy, probably making this end the ideal "attack" end) with a button the tip of the "other end" pops off and the chain is set free, in which the rest of that side of the nun chuck is used for mikey to have an easiar grasp of the chain its self which will allow it to have free movement |

There is no way that chain fits inside the chucks. And even if it somehow, due to space magic, could possibly fit in there, the damn thing would end up being as heavy as a frigging morning star. You might think this is a good thing since more mass means more force (yaaay newton!), and since mikey swings those things pretty damn fast that would make them even more deadly; but consider this: whenever you swing the chucks, if you miss, the thing that will stop them is your body. I don't really know how to explain it without going too deep into the actual technique used to handle the nunchucks, but I can assure you that if the nunchucks were too heavy you would end up with a few broken ribs... or in this case, a broken shell.
As someone said, it's best not to think about all these things and just enjoy the show for what it is (: |

I just like to think Splinter shops at Bat-Mart.
|
I thought he used both chucks to make the kusarigama?

but I see him have an extra nunchuck in his pocket even when he uses the kusarigama......... which means...can Mikey use double kusarigamas! *_* that would be cool!.....but I don't think it's possible.... |
In either case, it's a pretty damn sweet update to the old nun-chucks.
And it's far surpasses the grappling hook they ones exchanged Mikeys nun-chucks with. It's a really cool criss-cross, i actually kind of think Mikey has the coolest weapon right now. |
Yeah...I prefer not to question such things. It just works! ;)
|
Can somebody get us a clip where it transforms?
|
It's pretty cool to turn chucks into kusarigama. A great way to make Mikey even more imposing. A kusarigama would have made a far better substitute than a grappling hook back in the OT. The nunchaku however, shall and always be Mike's primary weapon. :tgrin:

This is the biggest problem I have with the new 'toon (well, really the only problem aside from April...). The exact same thing bugs me in almost every Daredevil comic I read, since his billy club often works the same way.
I always thought Mike should be able to join his 'chuks together to form a sansetsukon, that seemed like the logical progression.... |
