Were the Neutrinos only really in 5-6 episodes?
I was just thinking about this the other day. For some reasons it feels like the Neutrinos were in a lot of episodes, but I think it was only 5:
1) Seasons 1's "Hot-Rodding Teenagers from Dimension X" 2) Season 2's "Teenagers from Dimension X" 3) Season 3's "The Grybyx." 4) Season 4's "Dimension X Story" and "Four Turtles and a Baby" 5) Season 7's "Attack of the Neutrinos." And in "Four Turtles and a Baby," it was only the Neutrino leaders and Tribble....Zak/Dask/Kala weren't in that episode. So we only saw those trio in 5 episodes. So they basically had the same appearance rate as Casey Jones did, which was 5 episodes. For some reason it feels like they were in more episodes than they actually were. They didn't appear in Seasons 5 or 6 at all, and of course not in Seasons 8-10 either. |
Yes, this is pretty much correct. I noticed a while back that the Neutrinos weren't in more than one episode in the same season so I counted their episodes and got the same answer.

It's actually surprising when you realize how little some characters actually appear in the OT. For some reason it feels like everyone has more appearances than they actually really have.

Personally, I am grateful they didn't show up more times. It says something when a character as awesome as Casey Jones can have 5 episodes that only feels like 2 but the Neutrinos could have the same amount and make it feel like 10.
They did get a number of references even in eps where they didn't appear. The Turtles had possession of their extra starcrusier (not that the fact was ever really acknowledged after episode 5) until Michelangelo lost it in Pizza By the Shred... that knucklehead. |

I always liked the Neutrinos *shrug*...it always did feel like more than 5 or 6 eps when I was a kid, but I guess it is true.

That one episode with Raph and Mike trying to rescue Vernon from Dimension X. The writers seemed to have forgotten that the Neutrinos' Starmobile had a dimensional portal which was a plot point in that earlier episode. When Zach was asked about it, he says he can't afford one at his allowance. Didn't you have one in Season Three?! Being broken is a better excuse than not having one at all.
Playmates released the Foot Cruiser toy which I'm sure most would assume was converted from the stolen Star Cruiser. It would have been nice continuuity for the Foot Cruiser to appear in a later episode and advertise the toy at the same time. |
