Sounds great and interested to see how Leonardo working for Shredder would even make sense, outside of something like mind control.

As for characters from other universes debuted here, aside from the likelihood of Hun, and Bebop/Rocksteady, I'm curious if we'll finally see Rat King.

Rat King had a pretty big role in City at War in Mirage, so this would seem like an interesting time to debut him.

Of everything in this interview, I think I'm most relieved to hear that Karai is going to be more active, and that the misogyny of Shredder choosing Leo over her wasn't lost of the IDW team.

Looking forward to this arc more than anything IDW has produced so far.

I hope to see Bebop/Rocksteady!

Exciting stuff.

I can't frickin' wait to see what's going to happen!

Awesome article, too!

Well it seems like Krang is out for most of this arc, yah?

Also, this has me very interested in how Leo would possibly be on Shredder's side. Apparently they've considered Leo's honor towards his father, so as far as I'm concerned it's gotta be one of very few options:

Mind control (dumb)
Leo pretending as a foot soldier (dumb)
Or something I would be very much impressed with

...yeah, I know that last option is a bit of a cop out, but I just honestly can't think of anything else and I'm excited enough to want to post anyway.

(...Let it also be known that while I think options 1 and 2 are indeed dumb, I have a pretty stupidly large amount of faith in IDW that I think they could make it worthwhile anyway.)

Hun, Slash, Hob and those mysterious new mutants that no one has the slightest clue about. I'm stoked.

Red Robin 05-07-2013 03:31 PM

I am really looking forward to the beginning of this new story arc.
Can't wait to read these.

No way we're not over-hyping this.

It's sure to disappoint! Have no expectations! :P

The more leaked info about the story arc the more anticipation! Come on,gentleman, spill more!

CyberCubed 05-07-2013 07:37 PM

Isn't this a 9 issue storyline? I seem to recall that being mentioned.

My guess is that Shredder kidnaps April and Casey and forces Leo to work for him in order to guarantee their safety.

Or somebody else. Like...splinter?

Crabfight 05-08-2013 10:22 AM

I posted this a while ago, but I think one of the cooler ways it could be done is if Shredder reveals that some integral piece of Splinter's story he's told the turtles is untrue, causing Leo to doubt that which he's put such blind faith into. Could be cool!
