Yet another turtle fan here. I've been hanging around for a few weeks, lurking, and decided to actually register.

The name's Anna, I'm 18 and from Finland.

My turtle fanhood has been a little bumpy. I grew up with the 2k3 series and back then I was pretty much an average viewer and a casual fan. Back in '09 my interest in the green team grew after I watched the series again for nostalgic reasons. My life was kinda hectic at the moment, so I got sidetracked.

About a month ago I saw Blacknerd's (awesome dude, by the way) comments on the Nick version of the series and decided to check it out. I must say I was more than pleasantly surprised! Heck, I could say it's better than the 2k3 adaption, in my opinion.

Now I'm really interested in becoming a real fan so I've been reading the original comics and watching some of the OT episodes. I would really love to continue on the comics, but don't really know where I should start... Any suggestions?

Thanks, dude! I don't really know. I guess I just watched a lot of TV in English as a kid and it's become gradually better with time. That would explain the american accent.

Thanks for the input! I'm currently reading the Mirage comics and enjoying them a LOT. I guess we'll see which arc becomes my favorite.

Ooh, Hamina! I love the architecture there. I've visited it once when we were driving through to get to Kotka. It's a really nice place!

That was a Highlander reference, Finlander. I thought it was more popular in Europe, but I guess it was still before your time.

Now I just feel like an idiot! :tlol: I've heard of it, but yeah... I don't think it's my generations thing really. Depends on the person and how they were raised, though. Some are familiar with the classics, some are not.
