God - even their names are horrible.

I meant the mutants. Most of them, as we all know, are horrible and nowhere near memorable. Just some mutants. With nothing to remember them by. Wake me up when they actually become some real entertaining characters, or even some memorable ones. Let them be mindless, I just want some special mutants.

Anyway, where was I? It's not only the mutants, but their names too! They're HORRIBLE. I mean seriously? Mikey, why can't you just make up a cool name for the mutants? Writers, why do you want to make so many awful mutants and give them awful names? Mikey can still be funny, he can still have the development, you can still make the same jokes, but please make Mikey give them some awesome names in the end. Sokka from Avatar: The Last Airbender was very similar - they made awesome naming jokes, but the villains (or whatever he was naming) actually received decent names in the end. Heck, some of the "joke-names" were actually catchy (Sparky Sparky Boom Man! Team BoomerAANG!).

Gosh. Infact, I can make up better names! Here's a list for each mutant:
  • Snakeweed - Although the names cheezy, it's actually catchy! Let him keep it.
  • Spiderbitez - Since he makes strings, and his body is in the form of a ball, I'll call him Ballstring. Not so good, but still better than Spiderbitez.
  • Justin - Manymal. Mix from "many" and "animal".
  • Dogpound - Since a synomim for dog is "hound", I'll call him Houndpound.
  • Fishface - Fishlegs? Kinda satiric and great at poking fun at Fishface's lack of legs.
  • Leatherhead - Since he's an aligator, I'll call him AL! Just kidding, his name is fine. :D

What do you think?

CyberCubed 06-01-2013 11:28 PM

To be honest they sound like Pokemon names to me, and I think this is where the idea came.

Much like Pokemon combines two things to make a name, this show seems to be doing the same thing. I could have easily seen a Pokemon named, "Spiderbites" for example, or "Snakeweed."

Maybe in Generation 6.

But that's the problem. If you want to get a name from combining some words, mix the words (ex.: Manymal)!

So in summary, this thread is for bashing the original characters this show has created and adding your own terrible not even good enough for the worst fan-fiction names?

Ballstring? Reeeeeeeeeally? :trolleye:

Ninjinister 06-01-2013 11:59 PM

Two of those were pre-existing character names, numbnuts.

Can we please get a filter on this forum so that every time someone tries to type "Spider Bytez," it automatically corrects to "Ballstring"?

I've been looking for a new screen name. Ballstring it is!

Vivi 06-02-2013 06:27 AM

'R's are overrated. Why not just Ballsting?

BubblyShell22 06-02-2013 08:22 AM

Ballstring sounds lamer than Spyderbitez. I think the way Mikey names the mutants is cute. Besides, he did think of a different name for Fishface: Robocarp. However, he decided to use Fishface.

Coola Yagami 06-02-2013 08:54 AM

Fishface is the only one that sounds stupid since it's more of an insult than a name. But eh, we got used to it. Everyone else, including Spider Bytes is fine. Ballstring is just dumb... sorry...

I see your Fishface & raise you a Dirtbag. :P

Overlordofnobodies 06-02-2013 09:35 AM

I'm sorry but what wrong with any of those names?I like all of them and I dont get any of you pick.
Justin= The main reason he got that name was because it was so hard to make a name that work for him.Plus I think he was sort of to pock at Justin Bieber. Main reason why I like the name.
Dogpound=What? You lose me with the hound part. Synonyms are words with the same or similar meanings. You will never use hound for a dog unless it is a breed of a hound.
Fishface=But he has legs? There huge metal legs that can break wall with a singel kick or stop the Shellrazer when he slam them into the ground. That said I would love if he got Robocarp.
Spiderbitez=I'm not even going to try this one. As I dont even now the word to tell you how bad Ballstring is.
