How tall are the Turtles

It varies but
Don 5'9
Leo 5'6
Raph 5'5
Mikey 5'4

There's that height reference thing in the Nick "How to Draw" book. It doesn't state their actual heights, but how tall they are compared to each other:

Any guesses on how long the gaps between the lines are? I'm not that familiar with measurement systems other than metric.

well....I found this on deviant art.....XD.....

don't know....if it's true though XD....

but that would make Mikey pretty short lol XDDD

(and would also mean I'm taller than Leo, Mike, and Raph XDDDDDD........but would explain way Karai is so much taller then them)

Sounds about right. I think that historically they've always been about 5 feet tall and, apart from donnie, they are all around that mark according to that guy on deviantart.

Looks correct.

And lol, according to that, April is taller than Mikey. The turtles are pretty short. :D

They've definitely never been very tall; there have been a lot of comments about their height from other characters. Mainly Casey making fun of Raph for being short.

BubblyShell22 06-03-2013 07:40 AM

Wow. Awesome. Mikey's an inch shorter than me since I'm 4'11.

Dudette 06-03-2013 09:37 AM

Donnie's the only one taller than me (I'm 5'4)! That's awesome!

I guess they're not at their full height yet, though.

Really? I'm confused... In this artwork he puts Mikey at 5 ft... Unless this is just a stand in for a turtle in general...

I'm 5'4" :). They could grow more, depending on how much human influence their growth has. Teenage boys finish growing later than teenage girls. They could grow up until 18ish years old.

They could be growing for a lot longer than that. I was always told that the most people will have finished growing height wise by the age of 25.

Unless of course they have some sort of brain tumour or something that otherwise causes the body to ignore the 'stop growing' hormones like Guiness World Record holders.

And don't forget about the half turtle bit. There's no reason to not think that they could have a lifespan that outstrips humans.

The time to sexual maturity (when they are able to reproduce) varies among species but ranges between approximately 10-50 years...It is not known exactly how long sea turtles live in the wild, but scientists think their life span may be as long as a century.

That's for Sea Turtles but you get the gist.

Good find Baby Turtles! I've been wanting to know what their heights are. Now I'm curious as to what their weights are.

BabyTurtles 06-22-2013 09:14 PM

I checked today how tall 4'10 was (compared to me)

and Mikey's so short~ it's cuutte XD LOL but...it makes sense.

no wonder people can throw him across the room, when he wraps them in his kusarigama

NinjaMan 06-24-2013 09:48 AM

I guess Splinter is 6'2?

kelligrafie 06-27-2013 09:05 AM

Well here's a sketch of the Pulverizer from Nick that puts him at roughly 6 foot so I'd guess Donnie to be 5'9" although that's quite tall for a 15 year old boy.

And this one of Leatherhead shows a 5 foot turtle. That's probably Mikey.

I was 5'9 at 15 if not 6 ft already by then.

Maybe that's normal nowadays. I know kids are getting taller. But I think I must've been going by my younger brother and he was quite a late bloomer in terms of height.

Besides Donnie's a mutant. And his brothers are quite a bit shorter than he is. He might be freakishly tall, or exceptionally pubescent. ;)
