During what season did Michelangelo lose his nunchucks and get his Grappling Hook?

After season 3.

A tragedy. I hear they never let him use them in the European version. They would always cut out the scenes with Mike using his nun-chucks. Which is terribly lame because they were the coolest weapons on the show and in the video games.

Yeah, Mike mysteriously disappeared from the figt scenes... I wonder why they didn't bring them back to Red sky seasons...

Yep, thats TMHT for ya. He wasn't completely edited out, tough, but many fight scene were noticably edited.

Woah I never noticed they had him swinging the grappling hook in the actual intro. I used to love that one... now I... don't.

I'm guessing since they were still being aired world-wide the ban on nunchucks stayed in place.

Actually at first I didn't even know he lost his nunchucks because he kept used them in the games!

the grappling hook woulda been fine if he hit people with it, but he just swung from it and kicked people, boooorrriiinnnggg!

I know he's hit people with it. Infact, there was a really good scene in the episode "Turtles to the Second Power" where Mike and his past self were showing each other the yo-yo move, knocking out two of Dregg's goons!

They did a lot more fighting in the red sky season.

I think it was more the switch from Fox to CBS that had them choose to switch themes. Not all of season 4 aired on CBS but the first episode that did had the new theme. Mikey didn't truely loose his chucks until after season 4 though. In season 4 you never actually see him fighting with them but you see him twirling them or on his back a lot. Also he uses them to fight a few times in the Euro vacation episodes.

I miss nunchucks =(
