TMNT Modern Movie Elements
I was just "ponnnnnnnndering", what kind of modern societal elements will/should the film makers try to touch on in the new movie? For example, in the first movie they did the whole "troubled teen/teenage angst" thing with Danny. A lot's changed since the last live-action film so there's a lot to play with here....what do you think?

Donatello will question his gender identity.

Psh, yeah, and they can incorporate some of Michelangelo's cross-dressing habit, while they're at it.

I can't tell if you guys are serious, or.........? So I've come up with one serious and one goof..
Serious: Maybe Donatello wants to explore more of the world on an intellectual level instead of doing the ninja thing forever. Maybe he wants to apply for college or something. Goof: How about Splinter gets Catfished by a fake Tang Shen...? |

More focus on their animal aspects, they are animals mutated to human-like creatures, not the other way around.

Donatello did go to college in the OT, by mail or something? It ended up being a scam with a villain of the day, but yeah. Nowadays he could do online courses anyway. Totally a doable thing and something that would fall in line with his character well I think.
We've already seen Mikey into social media on the Nick show, won't be surprised if that becomes a common thing in the future for him. Lets him write and socialize without being seen and all that. |

Splinter dies of old age leaving the boys to figure out things on their own.
Mikey is a 346 lb pizza eating fatty who needs help. Raph starts taking pills to balance his mood swings becomes the nice one One of Donnies experiments go wrong accidentally killing April leaving him emotionally scared. Leo becomes a real a$$hole.... what? Thats it. |
I wouldn t support donnie studying at a university...I see your point but I think he wouldnt need that.why gather human knowledge like all the rest here?he is a scientific wonder for gods sake...anything he ever imagines is beyond anything we would have to offer for him...I know many universities have incrdible access to special researches and what not but I just wish they stay among one another..

Maybe Donnie's intellectual curiosity expands to things like medicine, or law, or maybe he just wants to have credentials to work in his field with other people.
I'm feelin' @Snakeweed101 idea....that would instantly make it R rated though. |

None. Expect the safest, lowest-common-denominator fluff you can.
When I read this title, though, I thought you'd be asking about elements of modern movies, in which case my answer was going to be, "So much damn slow-mo." |

Remember how in Secret of the Ooze Donnie seemed so impressed with Prof. Perry's work and was thrilled at the opportunity of working with him and finding out more about the ooze? I'm saying he wants to earn a degree to have the chance to work with other scientific minds. |
