Which do you prefer
I don't know if this has been discussed, at least I didn't find a thread for it. So there's two ways Leo wears his swords when he's not using them, which do you prefer? And why, does one or the other look better, or is it something else?
A is the way he holds them in 2k3 and the 2007 movie, for example Spoiler:
B is the way he holds them in the Mirage comics and 2k12, for example Spoiler:
This could've probably been made more simple, but I hope you got what I meant. |
I'm glad you asked this because i always preferred choice A. it's also the way he wears it in the OT. minutes the sheaths sometimes. I always draw it that way and i just think that it's easier to reach from both sides, if he's a master at twin katana, then he might have grown ambidextrous and it wouldn't matter which side it's on. i know a lot of people like choice B, Both it just looks a little more difficult to always grab both of them from one side. i think some people prefer it that way because of the way it was actually worn or something in ancient times. just a guess

Gotta go with A. The Mirage books are my favorite thing but I looooove that cross-scabbard design. Always have. It looks badass and seems the most convenient to use.
|
I'm also going with A. The "X" design is just much cooler in my opinion.
|
As far as tv appearances go I always prefer choice A, because I suppose it's just more visually appealing but I really like how choice B looks on the basic toy in the 2K12 line. So...both I guess.

I like the "X" design personally. Just more "Leo" to me. Plus, it looks less awkward to reach :)
|
I voted for B. I honestly thought it might be easier to get them out if they are both on the same side
|
Gotta go with A as well. I just dont see why you would want both on the same side, you'd have to take one out and pass it to the left hand before removing the second sword. Plus like others have said, the "X" design is just cool.
Anyone know if double swords were actually sheathed like in option B? Ive read a lot about samurai and I cant say I remember anyone ever carrying both weapons on the same side, maybe its a ninja thing... |

I also voted for A as it looks cool and seems easier for Leo to reach his swords than with B. However, I don't mind B that much at all.
|
Voted B but I still want to see them have Leonardo do it samurai style sometime and have either a sword on each hip or both on one.
|
I honestly think B looks cooler. But as far as practicality goes, I don't see how it's more efficient. Having them on opposite sides seems much easier for him to grab one sword with each hand instead of having to awkwardly reach across himself. So gotta vote for A.

I didn't realise that anyone thought the cross-sword setup looked cooler. I mean, duh, it makes more physical sense, but this is fiction. We don't have to worry about crap like that. It looks so much cooler when they're slung parallel to each other over his shell. Aesthetically speaking, choice B all the way.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.:P much cooler IMO.
|
A, it looks cooler then B
