not really, all instances implore the u.s.t. (unresolved sexual tension) into the stories, depending on the universe. that makes them an unofficial "romance" so to speak.

I personally dislike just about any turtle romancing. It just always feels tacked on and basically useless. I think Don's crush on April in the nick show is ok, it sets up a lot of jokes which Im fine with- as long as it doesnt go anywhere. And I always liked how all of the turtles kind of had a crush on April in the OT, but it was extremely innocent and only at certain times.

i do agree that out would be to much to show any turtle romance go anywhere, aside from fan work, that's not what the ninja turtles are about, i was just wondering if anybody favors a particular couple

Mikey's love for pizza is entertaining... I get a chuckle when one of them gets teased for having a crush.. IE Raph from the movie or Donnie in the new toon.. but I do not like them having real relationships.

The only real romances was Mike with Sara and The Regenta in the comics.

And Leonardo and Radical.

I voted for Leo/Karai, though Lotus was a different character and had no connection to Karai at all. They were separate characters, so you might want to fix that bit.

Why are some of you guys saying that those are all imagined? Sure none of them are like "110 PERCENT SUPER OFFICIAL CONFIRMED" but they are HEAVILY implied. Can you seriously say that Mona Lisa wasn't intended to be Raph's love interest? I mean, look at this:

I like Don/Irma for OT...but Don/April for 2k12. Depends on the universe :D.

I cannot vote...*sigh*....(except no to Leo/Venus). I always loved Mikey and Kala in OT, they had some cute moments. "Raphael Meets His Match" is one of my favorite eps and I so wish she returned. Leo/Lotus or Leo/Karai can work, too, depending on what incarnation you are in. :D

As I said before in these forums, I don't mind romance as long as its done well (I abhor the teeny bopper, mary-sue style romances in TMNT fanfics), and as long as it doesn't overshadow the action/fighting themes, and the family/friendship dynamics of the show.

Because nobody really tunes into TMNT for the romance, otherwise that would make TMNT a whole other type of show.

First of all I just want to say that I agree that the Turtles stories should not focus on romance... I was just curious as to which "crush" was preferred...
Maybe I should have labeled the poll "crush" since everyone has such a problem understanding that i used the term "romance" pretty loosely in that I did not meant they were "Steady couples" or anything.

Yes, they were unofficial romances, but You are definitely wrong about no UST in kids shows. Sometimes, it isn't written to be obvious... it's subtle so it goes over kid's heads. (Maybe thats why you didn't notice) UST doesn't necessarily mean someone is about to have sex or anything, the term can be used in the same fashion for two or even just one that have a crush. thats what the "UNresloved" part means... that it doesn't go anywhere.
Maybe your "headcannon" is in denial because the writers obviously hinted at a romance for all of these couples whether or not they ever happened.

of course i know they are different characters, but Lotus is kind of the OT version of Karai and the "crush" for Leo is still there. So I combined the options instead of separating them. Plus if I didnt put her on there, I'm sure someone would ask why she was missing.

Thank You for the back up. I was getting super gained up on there. I thought it was common turtle knowledge among fans that they've all had "crushes" at some point. Shell, even up until the new show came out where they make Don like April I've heard Donatello get made fun of like he's gay cuz he wears purple and uses a long stick and has a nasally voice. I've heard way too many jokes like that for comfort. I wouldnt be surprised if that was the whole reason behind making Don like April for the new show. Ciro probably got tired of hearing crap like that cuz Don's his favorite.

Just dont vote. If I included an option like that then Nobody would vote for any of the others, including myself.
