Fate of Dogpound/Fishface in Season 2?

Do you think Dogpound and Fishface will continue to work for Shredder in Season 2? Nothing of the Season 2 promos so far have mentioned them, and we know Shredder gets a new evil mutant from Japan named Tiger Claw halfway into next season.

Shredder has already stated many times that Dogpound/Fishface "better not fail him again," so will he make good on that? The Season 1 finale will likely have Dogpound/Fishface go up against the Turtles while Splinter fights Shredder, and after they've defeated there will that be the end for them?

I assume we will see them in Season 2, but no longer working for Shredder. This isn't like Bebop and Rocksteady who can fail hundreds of times and Shredder would always forgive them. I think we might see some change here.

TurtleTitan97 07-21-2013 08:51 PM

I hope not. Dogpound and Fishface are one of the best mutants on this show, I'd hate it if they were gotten rid of. And after hearing Xever's past I hope we get an episode were Bradford does the same.

JTH 07-21-2013 09:24 PM

I honestly don't see any place for them in Season 2, there's going to be plenty of new characters to carry the show.

I'm getting the sense that they're going to go rouge in the finale to help the Turtles and possibly be killed off. Sounds crazy to think that right now, but the finale promo definitely shows that they are going to push all the limits in this finale.

And remember what Bradford said in The Gauntlet:
"We'd rather die with honor, then to live in shame."

So far every specific line has had meaning behind it and ultimately played a role down the line.

Japanese tiger mutant, Tiger Claw? What'cha talkin' about,Cubed? I had not seen a thread topic of that just the mutant fly bit.

If indeed the two mutants will no longer be active what about being deumutated? Bradford would serve a better purpose stregthnening the foot and being a public figure is likely declared missibg by now.

Magical_Guy_Alex 07-21-2013 09:39 PM

I was thinking somehow, Bradford and Xever would quit working for the Shredder in the S1 finale and go off on their own ways. Heck, if by some very rare chance they get unmutated, they will definitely go about their own ways before they met the Shredder. Bradford going back to running his dojo's and Xever going back to Brazil, etc.

I know it seems out there, but it's something worth thinking about for a minute. Besides, I don't think Nickelodeon is willing to let a character in one of their shows just flat out get killed. The show can't be that violent.

The tiger mutants name is Tiger Claw, they even showed his design already. It says he's from Japan...so I assume he's a Foot Clan member from Japan.

Irishmile 07-21-2013 09:44 PM

I do not think that them not being talked about is an indication that they will not return at all... They just want to talk about new things..

I personally do not care if they return or not...

Coola Yagami 07-21-2013 09:48 PM

Yeah, they might still be there. And who's to say Shredder won't have Tiger Claw, Dogpound and Fishface? Maybe a rivalry? Maybe Shredder hiring him to show them 'how it's done' which will inspire rivalry? After all, Hun and Baxter had to deal with Karai and Chaplin for a while.

I wonder if Nick will decide to give Shredder new mutant henchmen every season, rather than sticking with the same two for the entire show like the OT did with Bebop and Rocksteady.

They don't have to die, they can simply break free of Shredder and go back to the Purple Dragons.

Coola Yagami 07-21-2013 10:09 PM

That might hold true for Xever, but Bradford has always been with the Foot. He was basically in charge of New York's Foot before Shredder came in.

Interesting.. this makes Bradford the Shredder and Shredder the Karai of the series. LOL

Shark_Blade 07-21-2013 11:01 PM

I'm sure they'll still be around. Not worried.

Electric 07-21-2013 11:26 PM

off topic but, shark blade, sounds like a mutant name, just like tiger claw, and that actually happened, so who know, mutant shark?

Spider Bytes
Snakeweed
Fish Face
Dogpound
Rat King
Tiger Claw
Shark Blade?

Sorry off topic :tsad:

Donatello19 07-21-2013 11:26 PM

They will be Shredder's henchmen for the whole run of the show, or at least most of it (I think so anyway). They're in the intro, after all.

The intro can change very easily for Season 2.

Although it can, it most likely won't. Almost all (animated) shows keep the same intro until they're at the last few seasons (like the OT) or have just been on for a long time (The Simpsons).

Mondo_Gecko 07-22-2013 12:05 AM

Cyber, sounds like you're speculating and predicting without much cause again.

Why don't you let things play out instead of jumping to forgone conclusions?

To the best of my knowledge, Snakeweed wasn't mentioned at the panel or Kirby O'Neil, does that mean they both won't appear? Or perhaps Ciro and team wanted to hype new stuff to excite the crowd.

We know nothing of TigerClaw, to say he's an "evil" mutant at this point is a stretch. He's a mutant tiger from Japan. That's it. He might be a neutral bounty hunter or assassin, who knows.

I have no idea what happens to Dogpound and Fishface if any. But I can't see them going anywhere. They are in the credits after all.

Uh, really? The OT's intro changed in the middle of Season 4.

The 4kids series intro changed during Season 4, then again with FF and BTTS.

Most likely the intro to the Nick show will change overtime as well. They'll probably want to advertise new characters like Slash, Casey and Mutagen Man in the intro over Season 1 images.

Wrong, Tiger Claw is confirmed a villain and working for Shredder.

Lol that'd be nice. :tlol:

Cowabunga Carl 07-22-2013 01:17 AM

I don't think they will get rid of these characters after one season. I see them being the Bebop and Rocksteady of this version. Even though Shredder will probably brach out and start using other mutants also.

Shark_Blade 07-22-2013 03:50 AM

Yeah it looks like Shredder was experimenting. First the warehouse where Timothy got mutated, then the giant wasp thingy..
