Spoilering Quoted Images
 

Is there any way something can be rigged so that when a person quotes a post with images it's automatically spoilered? It's really frustrating trying to read peoples thoughts in a thread when I have to scroll past the same picture 6 times in a row because some folks are too lazy to spoiler/erase it. I know I'm not the only person who is bothered by this.

This is aimed at me right? But, yeah, I'll make sure I spoil images from now on.

This is a great idea Powder, it is pretty annoying when I see a thread has been updated and I click on it, then the scroll bar makes it look as if there's a lot of posts to read, but it's really just one posts with lots of big images in them.

And Snakeweed, almost everyone does this from time to time, it's not just you.

Nah man, I wouldn't go to such lengths to single a person out like that. I'm direct. Like D19 said, a lot of people do it, enough to warrant this thread. :P

Spoilering gifs might not be a bad idea either, since some people can be adversely affected by them.

Is there a mod other than Krang who could implement this?

I wrote some code that automatically converts quoted images into links. If anyone encounters problems when quoting posts, please let me know.

This has made my time here on the forum much more enjoyable, just thought I'd say thanks once again. On that note though, would it be easy to implement this for youtube video quoting as well?

I noticed this seems to have stopped working. Any word on that?
