Punk frogs
 

this is gonna be a weird one... Would someone want to see them in new cartoon?
they have potential, just strip them of their nineties clothes, replace some of their weapons and voila... when i think about it you would have to change everything, but it could work...

I think they've pretty much been replaced by the Newtralizer. He's not a frog but he functions in the same way and would be what an updated Napoleon would seem like.

I think it would be possible.

I think if they actually made them "some kinda punkers" it might work.

or they could share origin with letterhead like in OT they are brought to dimension x by the kraang and experimented on, they escape and meet up with the turtles...

I'd like to see them! It could work, but, what Jester said, how about this time, make them punks.

And if their punks, they could team up and become members of the Purple Dragons!

i thought about that, interesting idea, when they are in the turtle lair t.v starts [laying sex pistols or something like that and Mikey names them punk frogs, or not, OK that was lame idea...

Hopefully the PD's actually make an appearance in Season 2, and not have them be forgotten.

or in IDW comics, they are pulling many things from OT and making it work in more serious universe...

I'd like to see the punk frogs in Nick more then in IDW. But, then again, Nick already has tons of mutants.

in the heat of the battle one of them is pulled into dimension x, the portal closes, but Donnie manages to open a new one, they go in to find him and that's where new spinoff starts...
but that will never happen...

I'm not a fan of the Punk Frogs at all, but it'd be interesting to see them re-imangined in a way that makes them tolerable and interesting. I just found them annoying in the OT.

that's what i am talking about, you would have to really change them, they had no personality at all in OT...

Any character from the original has "potential".
I think the show has enough unique mutants already, plus a few classics already that we dont really NEED the Frogs. It would be nice to see them again, and maybe a bit more fleshed out and individualized.
But they are not a group that I'm eager to see appear . They can stay in the 80s as far as I'm concerned for now.

It's weird because I was thinking about the frogs on the way to work this morning.

I'd like them to be the anti-turtles. A bit like the purple dragons but a bigger threat BUT not intent on world domination. So, troublemakers that show up from time to time, have a roughout with the turtles and then shoot off in their anti-shellraiser until the next time.

I reckon you could play them off against each other and get some real laughs, especially by drawing on comparisons between the two teams. And Splinter would be all like

I love frogs, toads and other amphibians and I really hope we get some in Nick TMNT in some shape or form.
