Plan 6 From Outer Space (S04 E01)
 

I did look under the episode guide thread to see if there was one listed already, and there wasn't, so hopefully you don't mind me starting this one :)

I was watching this episode today, and it's the first one of season 4 where the Technodrome and all inhabitants have just landed in Dimension X having been blasted there on a rocket.

One of the first things that is asked by Bepop and Rocksteady is where are they, to which Krang replies Dimension X... and the others basically say "so this is what it looks like!"
Krang even replies by saying "yes" and that they landed in the "icky part".

Didn't they just spend season 2 there? Didn't Krang deny Shredder his Foot Soldiers and Bepop and Rocksteady when he returned to Earth, leaving them in Dimension X with Krang?...

Maybe the "icky part" looks so drastically different to the part they were in before, that the just didn't recognise it! (Although it makes me wonder in that case where they thought the Earth and Technodrome were headed through that huge portal at the end of S03!... Bepop and Rocksteady really are dumb!)

This episode also sees Raphael dreaming of vacations around the world... *insert season 7!*

This episode has the funniest Bebop and Rocksteady dialogue of the series. Them getting a job at Channel 6 and becoming janitors only to them organize the TV shows after impressing Burne.

This is one of those episodes you appreciate far more as an adult than a kid.

You're right, they are funny in this one. Rocksteady actually shows some level of intelligence too, once they arrive back on Earth, which is quite funny!

The writers probably didn't even realize that Rocksteady and Bebop spent half of the second season in Dimension X.

Yeah, I usually watch this episode at the end of "volume 6". Then I'll watch the two European vacation dvds, followed by the "season 4" set (skipping this episode though, no need to watch it a second time through).

God, I love this episode. It's so incredibly insane, and in a way that *works*. I was laughing throghout.

We can't forget about the malfunctioning android disguised as Splinter, either. Tearing up the zoo and walking into lampposts....

during season 2, the Technodrome was at a rocky planet. During season 4, it was on the Volcanic Asteroid.

But the point was that they all reacted like they had not been there at all. Asteroid or not.

Bebop and Rocksteady were probably inside the Technodrome the first half of season 2 the whole time before they returned to earth. I'm guessing Krang didn't allow them to go outside and therefore they never saw what Dimension X actually looked like.

Yeah, but there are windows (see the last episode of season 1).

and yet at end of season 3 it crash landed on a bigger station.
