2003 Utroms vs. 2012 Kraang
 

Both the 2003 Utroms and 2012 Kraang are alien creatures that are behind the mutagen and have a TCRI building on Earth to base their operations. The former tend to be allies with the Turtles while the Kraang are all-out evil outside of the Kraang themselves. Both however have a common foe: Ch'rell vs. Kraang Prime. Which of the two is your favorite?

The Utroms actually weren't in 2k3 that much. They had the 2-part finale in Season 1, those three "Secret Origins" episodes, and then we didn't see them again till the trial in Season 3's finale. After that they just got background cameos in FF and the last ep of BTTS.

Hmm...I agree that the Utroms didnt get much screen time in the 2k3 show. So, I'd have to say my favorite are the Kraang in the 2k12 show. Krang Prime was creepy and I laugh every time they speak. :lol:

The Kraang were overused, I have to go with the Utroms

Maybe season 2 will deal with other characters, while the Krang try to repair the Technodrome, and don't come back until later during season.

I would have voted the Utroms because Kraang doesn't seem to have any individuality but then I remembered how the good and smarter aliens handled Splinter's disappearance, and had to put the 2k3 Turtles in a brain hologram instead of saying three words Ch'rell is Shredder, when the US military are currently barging at their door. I'm really annoyed with the TCRI arc of that show because the good guys are being incompetent (how the hell spider!Baxter got in there?).

Yeah, I'm going with the Kraang.

Definitely The Kraang. They have much more personality and have a bigger role in the overarching plot! Plus Kraang Prime, who is a complete badass with that Android Suit.

I've had this thought as well - it'd be a decent twist to eventually reveal that the Kraang are a cult-like sect that split off from the Utroms. That way the show could effectively bring in the original versions of the characters while maintaining the popular "evil Krang" variation.

I generally prefer the Utroms, myself. I really like the message that the "invading aliens" aren't out to get us. It'd be nice to see the Utroms proper turn up in the Nick series to give that a little balance.

I love the Kraang, I've really enjoyed them so far. They definately have a lot more personality than I originally thought they would.

The 2K3 Utrom were portrayed alright, although like has already been stated, for such highly developed and wise creatures they did make some boneheaded decisions. But no one is perfect, right? :trazz:

If I had to choose one I liked better I'd take the Kraang. Call me old fashioned but I just really enjoy evil aliens over good ones!

I think the Ultroms are good characters, a pacific race who only want to return home and are the turtles allies. Is interesting if we have the Utroms in 2012 as the good guys oppose to the evil Kraang.

Although in IDW Krang is a Utrom himself, but it don't mean all the Utroms are evil at all, only Krang is the evil one.
