The Nick Ninja Turtles Season 1 Tournament is underway, as mentioned before, the seeds were determined by members of the board. This is the 16 vs. 17 matchup with the winner having the honor of being destroyed by #1 The Gauntlet in Round 2. :D

Notice: These will be 24 hour polls.

My Take on the Matchup:

#16 Metalhead - I personally liked this episode, it was in my top half and I felt had a good moral lesson learned.

#17 The Pulverizer Returns! - Everyone's favorite despised loser was back, which made me so excited, I refused to make an episode picture with him in it. :P

Vote for your personal favorite episode of the two.

Donatello19 08-18-2013 08:58 PM

Although I really enjoyed both episodes, I think the Metalhead episode was much more fun. So, Metalhead gets my vote :D

NinjaMan 08-18-2013 09:04 PM

I voted for Pulverizer returns. Though I did like Metalhead. Both are great Donnie focused episodes.

RaphAndDonnie 08-18-2013 09:14 PM

Oh wow I love both of these episodes...Eh I've got a soft spot for Pulverizer so I voted for "Pulverizer Returns!"

Captain PunchYouHard 08-18-2013 11:04 PM

I was too lazy to sort out 12 favorite episodes for the original poll, but since my favorite overall was "The Pulverizer Returns," I just tied this one. :p

Donatello19 08-18-2013 11:17 PM

Ohhh....it's a tie!

Ch'redder 08-18-2013 11:43 PM

Hmm, both are fairly weak episode IMO, but I'm leaning towards "Metalhead".

Shark_Blade 08-19-2013 12:17 AM

Metalhead.

Cause I can't stand that meathead doofus.

WhitefinDolphin 08-19-2013 12:21 AM

While I enjoyed both episodes fairly evenly, I voted The Pulverizer Returns! I felt it had a more dramatic climax before, during, and after the mutation of Timothy.

The Pulverize Returns hands down. Metalhead was such a godawful episode I try to pretend the whole damn thing never even happened. Strictly character growth wise, Pulverizer Returns gave Don a HUGE leap forward in seeing who he was as an individual, his understanding of personal responsibility and compassion for others, and a peek as to how his promises might affect him later. Metalhead gave him...what? A half-hearted pep talk with Master Splinter he utterly wound up ignoring anyway? Pulverizer Returns gave an awesome (and somewhat unsettling) creation of Mutagen Man and a lesson that really sticks with the audience on behalf of Timothy, while Metalhead gave...uh...a useless robot, annoying jokes and the confirmation that Don and his bo staff really are useless (seeing as he won the final battle by a complete and utter fluke...and his bo broke. Again.).

Yeah. Pulverizer Returns. No contest.

I choose "The Pulverizer Returns" because Metalhead's story was pretty meh and it was one of the few episodes where the animation was really lazy. TPR was more dramatic and had better action which is what I like in my Ninja Turtles. It made me appreciate Timothy more whereas "The Pulverizer" made me not want to see him again.

BabyTurtles 08-19-2013 12:26 PM

dangit...I just made it even XD........

I picked Pulverizer returns because WEAPON SWITCH!!! *_*

.....even though Tim gave me nightmares....

(but I enjoyed Metalhead too~)

Pulverizer Returns

I voted for The Pulverizer Returns. It was a very close call! In regards to the poll, my vote has caused Pulverizer to be in the lead, but only just.

Come on, Pulverizer Returns was awesome but who can resist the sheer badassery of Metalhead?

(Btw I find it cool that the Turtles used Leatherhead as a distraction in their first invasion of TCRI and the second time they used Metalhead!)

Honestly, I can't say I care for either episode, but Pulverizer Returns is my least favorite episode, so Metalhead wins by default.

I'm just sad that practically all of my top favorites ended up in the same bracket (and with The Gauntlet, no less, which seems destined to win it all - not that I'd complain), lol.

MrTMNT2012 08-19-2013 03:54 PM

The Gauntlet was an experience man, I don't think I was ever that excited while watching a TMNT Episode. And the Livestream I was watching it on didn't help either since literally the screen exploded with 'OMG' reactions when Shredder appeared... It was just crazy. :)

BubblyShell22 08-19-2013 05:11 PM

I voted for "Pulverizer Returns" because it was such a great Don-centered episode full of emotion and depth for Don whereas "Metalhead" was horrible in that it never even executed the lesson it was trying to teach. I do like Metalhead as a character, but I just didn't like how the lesson was executed.

Eiko 08-19-2013 07:12 PM

While i like both i did like Metalhead more. so Metalhead.
