Should Robotic Bebop and Rocksteady have been given a better episode?
I liked the old Season 3, "Super Bebop and Mighty Rocksteady" episode because it was a cheesy funny episode. The ep had Krang's mezmerizer gadget changing the personalities of the Channel 6 news crew and others to children...then to chimps...then whatever else.
But I liked the idea of a robot Bebop/Rocksteady, and so did Playmates that they made toys of them. Would it have been cool to see them in a more serious episode later on? |
I would definitely have loved to see more them. Their in-show designs were cool, but the toys were amazing. Would've been neat if they did an ep where they were upgraded to look more like the action figures, and were set off with Chrome Dome or something and the turtles had to get Rex-1 to help fend them off. A big 'ol brawl. They coulda called it "Robot Rumble". :trazz:

Anyways, I think they should have gotten another episode. They were a good concept. |
They did have potential and wished they did more than just mindlessly say "Stomp Toitles! Stomp Toitles!"

I remember that those were some of my favorite turtles play toys. I never saw the episodes until later. I hardly remember it now, but I think it says how little impact the actual episodes had.
They should definitely had been used as some kind of upgrade, but by then the show had already went silly, and I only thought it to be amazing, because I didn't understand English at the time, so I just made up what they were saying. Which saved a lot of the show for me. Chrome Dome on the other hand, I remembered as some kind of invincible foe, yet he was dispatched easily in his actual episode. |
No, they were in one episode and served their purpose. We already had Bebop and Rocksteady, so no need to keep 2 robotic versions of them around. That'd be like bringing Donatello's clone from Donatello's Duplicate back.
