1987 TMNT on iTunes and Amazon Instant Video

All of the 1987 TMNT episodes are on iTunes now except for 2 episodes Donatello Makes Time and Planet of the Turtleoids. Planet of the Turtleoids is on Amazon Instant Video as the first episode of season 6 though.

I wonder why that random Donatello ep was skipped.

Shark_Blade 09-03-2013 07:05 PM

Rejoice.

I've got my turtle van set already though.

How much is it per episode on ITunes?

I guess I'm just curious whether its cheaper per episode through ITunes or through DVD purchases.

Each episode individually is $2.
Season 1 set is $9
Season 2 set is $10
Season 3 set is $10
Season 4 set is $19 (Donatello Makes Time is missing)
Season 5 set is $14 (Planet of the Turtleoids is missing)
Season 6 set is $15
Season 7 set is $40
Season 8 set is $10
Season 9 set is $10
Season 10 set is $9

Thanks Luke795, but wait... the season 7 set is $40 (including the European sideseason) and season 3 is $10 and season 4 is $19? What...? :-?

That's strange... (if we compared the price per episode against different seasons)

I guess Season 7 must be high in demand for it to calculate being $40/27 = $1.48 (per episode), compared to Season 3 $10/47 = $0.21 (per episode). Whatever...

DVD is always cheaper than buying DRM-laden digital videos. This is why I will be buying DVDs for the foreseeable future.

CyberCubed 09-05-2013 12:38 AM

Anything digital tends to be garbage over physical media.

The only times I buy digital is when I'm given no other choice. Such as many PS3/360 games that are digital only and don't have a disc version.

Digital stuff in general is just loosely renting something for a period of time. You'll never fully own it.

How about Netflix?! :D
