Bebop and Rocksteady look to be a forced to be reckoned with. Glad they won't be pushovers like they were in the original cartoon. As long as they keep their funny/goofy personality but are strong in battle I'll be looking forward to seeing more of them.

boywonder26 11-25-2013 07:34 PM

wow!the art is absolutely amazing.i cant wait to read and see what all happens.. :tgrin:

CyberCubed 11-25-2013 07:37 PM

I still prefer Ben Bates designs for Bebop and Rocksteady, I think they looked far funnier there, but I have to say their designs here are good too.

I think Ben Bates designs for Bebop/Rocksteady should be used for comedy issues.

pingclang 11-25-2013 07:46 PM

I can not WAIT to read this.

corvus 11-26-2013 09:01 AM

I agree Bates design did have a comedic edge, and if B&R ever get another micro I would love to see him do it. I think I like both designs equally, there so awesome. Cant eait for tomorrow!

Rooish 11-26-2013 07:39 PM

Suddenly, I very much approve of
Spoiler:
the portrayal of female characters in this comic.

Casey 11-26-2013 11:52 PM

That was an awesome preview! Than you Tom. I am ready for it to be tomorrow already.

This issue only proved that not only is this one of the best TMNT stories ever told, its one of the best comics being published right now. What a GREAT ending!

Veg 11-27-2013 01:53 PM

Wow city fall ended amazingly. Such a great story. So many cool touches (slash at the end!)

One to be remembered for a LONG time

Andrew NDB 11-27-2013 01:56 PM

Not my cup of tea. But not poorly written, either.

MikeandRaph87 11-27-2013 02:20 PM

I will give it a solid 92 B.

It had a nice fight with Bebop and Rocksteady for the ones of us who have '87cartoon first in fandom.

There was a nice sequence between arnold Sr. and Jr. or Casey Jones vs Hun for the 2003 cartoon crowd. Though some may not care for the different relationship between the two. Also, Angel's inclusion.

There is the Kirby inspired weapons holding off Bebop and Rocksteady and the retreat to the farmhouse to work through the ordeal as a family while Shredder hunts for them for the Mirage perferred crowd.

Meanwhile, IDW lovers get Old Hob shaking off another injury and
Spoiler:
Alopex saving Splinter which I admit surprised me. Her defection was coming its just a way I did not expect. I suppose she is hitching a ride to Northampton with the guys and April to hideout as she went from being Shredder's #3 to his most wanted list.

Bravo,IDW, bravo on weaving everything so nicely!

The dragon decorated throne looks odd in what looks like a warehouse but I take that in stride. So how will Heisenburg,The Warriors and the mob act under Shredder? Big Louie show up in Shredder's cooperation,PLEASE?

The '87 cartoon was "first in fandom" for me... but that fight was decidedly not for me.

Green Machine 11-27-2013 02:53 PM

I really liked:

Spoiler:
The end when Leonardo gives his black bandana to Slash. Such a simple gesture. I also like the fact that Leo still doesn't completely trust Splinter or the other turtles yet. It would have been too weird if he just flipped the switch to being completely normal again.

MikeandRaph87 11-27-2013 03:11 PM

GM-
Spoiler:
I wonder if Leo will fully be freed or perhaps be a plot device used later on to have seeds Kitsune used to turn him remain and later resurface.

The next arc will most likely see him accept his family and the others see him as himself again.

A request for the creative team, please don't switch lairs anytime soon. Shredder is hunting for the turtles but that does not mean he has to locate the lair and the turtles have to change homes. The lair is the best one yet.

87 was first for me, too, and i hate bebop and rocksteady. i thought the fight in 28 was fine, but it went on too long.
