anyway i'm not agreeing that this confirms any sort of pairing. looks like more friendly teasing from april, as usual.

I don't think they could really pair them officially, even though I think that would be something.

These look so detailed, I believe it's pretty far in development. If it's just basic idea it'll be rough sketches and lines.

I've stated that I'm fine with all the Donnie/April stuff that's happened in the show because it's given Donatello more character development than in nearly every other show combined and it helped April's character along too.

But I've got to ask this to all the people on here that have had an issue with this D/A relationship and are "tired" of it or "over it", because I am curious on what people's actual takes are.

If this is true and this is what the show is actually going to do, what is the issue that the critics of this Donnie/April relationship arc have? Because I didn't see nearly the amount of people slamming this way back when back when the show started as I do now. Is it the arc itself you have a problem with, or is it the stalling out period they've done that you have a problem with?

Because being "tired of it" or "over it" means to me that most people didn't have an issue with it at first. So who here don't like the arc just hate the arc itself, or rather just want them to just put it out there that they both know about each other and finally have the answer, and then go from there and what happens, happens?

Well, if this is real, then awesome. I love the Don/April pairing because it does give Don more of a character instead of him just being the smart one. He longs to be with someone who cares about him and knows that he can't do it because of who and what he is. And if this isn't real, then whoever drew them is really good. Looks pretty official to me though.

I am not really a fan of the pairing, mainly because of the bestiality implications. Having a crush is all well and good but anything more than that seems... odd. To me it would seem she is giving him a kiss on the cheek, which may not imply romantic interest so much as an attempt to spare his feelings. Though, that is a horrible thing to do to the poor guy... false hope is a terrible thing!

Given April's origin, It was bound to happen.

I would love Apriltello to become a thing, however, I don't want to see April keep leading Don on and then just end up with Casey and have Don being sad for the rest of the season just for April to hug or kiss him again to make him feel better, then the whole process repeats.

Yeah, they kinda screamed "Fan Art" to me.

It's the stalling out, along the lack of any perspective (and characterization) on April's side of this relationship that I have an issue with.

If these storyboards were real (which I've heard otherwise) then all I see from them is even more stalling out (that was a kiss on the cheek, it would have been a much bigger reaction otherwise) and April leading Don on, again without really examining and discussing their relationship.

I don't care what the end pairing is, if there is one (it's all fine by me). I just would like to see it done well. Which I don't feel like the D/A really has been in show. (Honestly though, if I were April I wouldn't even bother with romance. She has enough going on as it is without adding that can of worms to it)

I'm just tired of Donnie being written as creepy toward April.

Donnie keeps trying to get a hug from April and show off in front of her....it's annoying.

Donnie kinda reminds me of Finn from adventure time right now....he kept trying to get with the Flame Princess only to get her angry and creep her out until Cinnamon Bun came in took her heart because he was more noble toward her.

The fact that people toss around 'bestiality' whenever there is an interspecies romance still makes me cringe.

Not to say I like the couple, I don't, it's just the mere mention of that term, used in this context is a pet peeve of mine.

Really? Cause Casey talked about dates, touching her face and hair, and calling her sweetheart.

And that was within the first 3 minutes of his debut. By the 3rd episode, he mentioned her as a person being close to him, I'd label that as a love interest myself.

but he also just talked to her. Asking her basic stuff like what she likes to do and what she wants to be. Noticing that she was down and asked her if she was alright. Yea he flirted in the first episode, but after that not really and I can appreciate that. He's not always thinking about it.


but Donnie is just 90% awkward flirty with her in almost every episodes she's in.....

I mean seriously....getting bummed at Raph cause he wants to be the one to rescue April...and pushing him away just to hug her.....and expecting April to just fall in his arms when she was on the grapple hook.

Casey wouldn't do that....and that's a bonus for me.

also...I'm just getting REALLY tired of this romance subplot.....if a shipping HAS to happen...I'm sticking with the one that is more subtle. XD

I can see your thought there, but there's a point to what's being done with Donnie, the point is he's trying to be as obvious to her as possible that he likes her without telling her straight out. Because from what we are to believe, with everything that has happened to April, telling April he had feelings for her now during everything that has happened to her is Donnie feeling like he is taking advantage of her when she's most vulnerable, and since the show started there's been one thing that makes that stand out and keeps him from telling her, whether it was April's dad being kidnapped, mutated, or now April finding out she's not human.

Casey doesn't have those issues because he doesn't know any of those things, so he's able to just swoop in and April can't hold that against him. Donnie on the other hand knows all of that stuff and is responsible for almost all that stuff, including breaking the news she's not human.

That's just been my mindset on this and why I get why this is done this way, because if April is down and upset about all this. If Donnie did tell her, he a way, he is taking advantage of a terrible situation, which you and I know he would never want to do.

Sorry it's so long, I thought I could explain a little more brief. :D

I noticed how Donnie tries to get closer to her, as if he is trying to put his arms around her in the elevator. hah
