It's not much, but you can see that they've used Michelangelo's tattoo design on top of a picture of a scratched up shell.

lol, that is the most ridiculous statement.

Mr Derp 02-15-2014 09:14 PM

If that poster is older than God, then it must have created God. But then who created the poster................:teek:

turtlefanforever 02-15-2014 09:32 PM

Yeah man

Way old news dude

Shred87 02-15-2014 09:45 PM

Yea sorry man... This is pretty old... And the fact that we are around 5 months away from the film this probably won't even be used...

Go easy on him though fellas... He's just trying to contribute something... Don't be too hard on him...

Knight_man 02-15-2014 10:15 PM

Even though I have seen this. It doesn't mean I don't appreciate the effort. That and there may be others out there who missed it. Personally I think a known info thread should have all info like this in it so it is a 1 stop shop thread.

Agree, but your asking a lot of this board, however I did see this along time ago and forgot about it, but now we've seen The designs we know this is probly legit, since there shells on the marquettes look just like this. Plus the Tat.

Too little too late. And I don't mean the OP. I mean Paramount. THIS should have been in the theater walls last year. You know, kinda like they had posters of Dark Knight Rises in theater walls at least half a year before the movie was released?

As much as I hate the thought of being "that guy", the proper term is maquette.

Powder 02-16-2014 09:34 AM

I'm pretty sure you don't hate that thought, given this is your third or 4th time making that exact post.

Candy Kappa 02-16-2014 09:42 AM

close but no cigar, A for effort Lou 500.

Yes, I totally hate the thought. However, I hate seeing such a simple industry term repeatedly misspelled even more. Maquette is a scale model, often used in film production and character design. Marquette is university named after a French missionary explorer.

I dig the pre-prod teaser image, but the typography is terrible.

TigerClaw 02-16-2014 10:57 AM

There is one thing to note about this pre production teaser poster, The little image of the Turtle in the center kind of looks like the image that's imprinted on Donatello's bandana from that Promotional Poster.
