Best Of DVD's in the UK (May 2014)

Looks like there are four 'Best Of' DVD's coming out in the UK in May, one for each Turtle.

Most likely just a few Nick episodes, but wouldn't it be awesome if it had episodes from all the shows. :D

HeroTurtlesFan 02-20-2014 06:36 AM

The cover says "three episodes from the original series", so no, it's not Nick.

Given that we only ever got official releases of season 1-2 in the UK (back in 2009) I wonder if these are tester DVDs to see if more releases will sell.

Price is likely to be £3-5 (based on the previous 3-episode DVD of the original series released).

Interesting.

Interesting.

The covers were not available yet when I posted this message yesterday.

This could indeed be interesting, I'm very curious if it will only be season 1 and 2 episodes.

I will buy these.

I hope they release the Seasons though!

pferreira 02-27-2014 09:38 AM

I'm 95% certain this is for the original series.

Kind of an odd way to sell these episodes......

Looks like the UK marketing team is stuck in the '90s. While UK does have some mass R2 releases via Germany, its a waste of space by having to settle for just a few episodes. Imagine how upset us fans would be had Lionsgate released just a few episodes at a time. At least it doesn't say Hero Turtles and it can show which episodes are the most symbolic for each Turtle. By expansion, we could have Best Of DVD's for non-TMNT characters (Shredder, Splinter, Bebop/Rocksteady, Krang, April, Casey, Leatherhead, Rat King) to expand this line if it does well.

Glad I got the KSM sets eh? :D

These remind me of the mid 1990s-Sewer Heroes VHS releases. Remember those? They came out in UK and US I believe.

Odd episode choices....well at least the 3 Turtles with episodes from the pilot. Those episodes may feature the Turtle in question a bit...but it's odd to throw 3 of the 5 episodes on these discs.

CowabungaMikey 05-21-2014 09:28 AM

I don't care if they just throw some random episodes together on a disc, but bring the OT to the Netherlands!

I'm pretty sure that will never ever happen.

The Turtle Terminator 05-21-2014 02:14 PM

I just hope we get a series release of this and the 2k3 series (since we got season 1 only)
