TMNT II SOTO + Barbara Walters

http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view/2086...-turtles-o.gif

Does anyone have the source of this, or remember it? Because I certainly don't.

BTW, love the animatronic reactions for both Raph, and Don. I don't care what anyone says, prosthetics, and suits still feel more real.

Youtube search "Barbara Walters Ninja Turtles" & you will get-

A real shame that ish like this isn't a special feature on the SOTO DVD.

I really wish they had Blue rays with Realy special features i remember there was at least one BTS for each movie on cassette back in the day. just wish they put them on the DVD's or blue rays which they haven't.

And that why i usually buy DVD's and Blue rays the special features.

I remember this and I agree it should be a special feature on the DVD and Blu Ray along with Behind the Shells making of SOTO :ohwell:

Shark_Blade 02-27-2014 06:52 PM

Barbra Walters, who's that? I know I should google but I'm so lazy this morning. :P

TV host? Kinda like Oprah I guess..

Leo656 02-27-2014 09:33 PM

I remember seeing this one and the one with Oprah back in the day. Ah, memories. Kind of crazy how popular TMNT was back then, to the point where people of that stature would agree to these kind of publicity stunts for a cartoon-based property.

That'd be like someone dressed like Stewie Griffin going on The View or something nowadays and everyone playing it mostly straight. It'd be ridiculous. The 80s into the early 90s sure were a strange and magical time.

CyberCubed 02-27-2014 09:57 PM

Watch that whole clip, its hilarious. Donatello breaks down crying at the end and Mikey shoves tissues in his face.

Leo656 02-27-2014 10:00 PM

Anybody thinking Babs was kinda "Granny Hot" back then?

No? Eh, a'ight.

I know, and this was on the cover of the TV Guide, during Oscar week!!!

Sadly this was towards the end of my "this is for kids faze" of TMNT fandom.

Thing was Donnie's water tubes or whatever broke and the 'crying' wouldn't stop, so everybody just quickly went along with it and improvised.

BabyTurtles 02-27-2014 11:32 PM

 OMG that's alot of tears!!

Raphael232 02-28-2014 02:42 AM

lol nope just you.

but yeah its a cool video, and the original will always be best, at least the first two.

deadsy333 02-28-2014 07:57 AM

It looks like Raph and Leo's actors are trying not burst out laughing at the water pouring from Donnie's face.

Lou 500 02-28-2014 02:02 PM

lol, what a cruel question.

pannoni1 02-28-2014 03:22 PM

You would think that an April O'Neil reference would have made this more exciting given that she seems inspired by the Barbara Walters-style of reporting in which she was raised upon. She even makes the anti-Turtle remark that the public is pertaining to. But Donatello for the "I'm dehydrating!" for the win. Well, what a wonderful career Ms. Walters had and I really enjoyed her final most fascinating people special and will certainly watch her final newscast this summer.

That was Great! Glad it was shared.

Shark_Blade 03-01-2014 12:27 AM

Donnie was literally bursting like a waterfall lmfao !!!!!:lol::tlol:

I had to pause the video several times, it was horrifying and hilarious at the same time.

Ashangelo 03-03-2014 04:56 PM

Oh god, this video kills me every time I watch it.

"Somebody help me I'm dehydrating!"

Took the words right out of my mouth. Back then, having popular fictional characters like that on TV talk shows/specials was awesome and actually made sense. Doing that today just wouldn't be the same. Having some fictional character cgi'd onto a talk show just wouldn't look right.
