TMNT vol 4 31 printing

Since 31 may only see a digital release... I may be able to get some printed is anyone down to pay for an issue?

If everything goes according to plan it will cost 3.72 to print plus shipping it to me and then shipping it to "buyers"

Im not selling just want to get this done in one fail swoop... Any interest in this?

What you are paying for is for the book to be printed, shipped to me, then shipped to you.

Master Splinter 03-24-2014 11:07 AM

I would definitely be interested.

raises hands!
Me too please!

DrSpengler 03-24-2014 11:49 AM

Although I never did get #29 and #30, I'll jump on this for sure.

So add me to the list (you'll be taking payment via paypal, I presume?).

CyberCubed 03-24-2014 11:54 AM

Me as well.

Whoah, thanks! Just bought it this minute.

Now that just means I need to get a copy of #29 for less than $100 (which doesn't look like it'll be easy/even remotely possible).

Gooseatello 03-24-2014 12:11 PM

I will take one

Sabacooza 03-24-2014 12:14 PM

I'll take one as well...maybe two.

CyberCubed 03-24-2014 12:21 PM

Is this going to be printed and staples together as an official comic? What quality paper is this going to be printed on?

please also keep in mind this is a possibility but still a maybe

liugeaux 03-24-2014 01:19 PM

Me, me, me, me...me. Definitely...please keep us posted!

Xav 03-24-2014 01:31 PM

Is this legal?

liugeaux 03-24-2014 01:40 PM

To print it for personal use is legal, printing and selling it for a profit is definitely not legal. But printing something that was initially free, to make it available to more people and not turning a profit is more of a grey area.

In the end, it really depends on the copyright holder's stance on the issue.

TheMasterTurtle 03-24-2014 01:59 PM

I would be on board - please include me

Abnormal Freak 03-24-2014 02:14 PM

I'm in. I may have to send a check if PayPal doesn't let me send money without an account.

AquaParade 03-24-2014 02:26 PM

I'd love to order a copy, though I do not have a paypal account.

Unless you get consent for redistribution, it's not legal. Lotsa marketing implications and such, regardless if there's profits or not. PL or Viacom would have to OK this, I'm thinking Viacom much more so than PL. I don't see Viacom/IDW being cool with fan based/funded publishing if they were asked about it... But that's just me...

Also, and I hope it doesn't go here, there could be implications tying PL to this based on timeframes and similarity. Not to say it would happen, but I would almost say with 100% certainty that PL would stop in his tracks if Viacom/IDW started asking if he had anything to do with an increase in copyright infringing, non-consent having re-distribution of a Viacom/IDW owned property.

Yes #31 would come after the fact and makes it an uber-grey area, but many lawyers on retainer have the sole responsibility of finding ways to successfully sue people. I feel I've pointed out some rather obvious reasons to file suit and I'm the furthest thing from an Esquire.

Nothing more than food for thought... Always CYA!

I'd be down for one
