Sounds like our worst fears confirmed. April is the main character and the Turtles are secondary.

Good, than there's no chance in hell of it being good, which means they wont get to make another one. Liebesman movies never make as much money as Bay movies...

On the bright side this keeps those horrible nostril dinosaur designs of the Turtles off-screen as much as possible, which might be a good thing.

Although the real reason this is probably happening is because the CG of the Turtles is costly and they probably don't want them in too many scenes or more than they have to.

meh.. don't care... I'd watch a Megan Fox movie of her just sitting there for 1hr 45min, not even saying anything, just blinking and doing that tongue thing she does..

1. Keep expectations VERY low. like Turtles 3 low, no, lower.

2. walk out of the theater surprised that it wasn't the worst thing ever

3. continue to enjoy life and all that turtle fandom has to offer!

4. speculate with other fans about the next reboot (think of it this way -- this movie will be Ang Lee's Hulk movie [but worse], but what we really want is Avengers Ruffalo Hulk. I know it sucks but we gotta work with what they dish out.)

Except that this is a bad analogy cause I hate "hulklike" turtles, I prefer sleaker turtles like the Nick style. Anyway you get what I meant!

It seems that the main focus of this movie is on Megan Fox instead of the Turtles.

Man yall are babies. Just wait and see. Stop acting like you owe the filmmakers anything. If you refuse to see it, then move on. Stop complaining when you haven't seen anything yet.

Ya know. You could just leave these people alone instead of getting all snarky about their attitude regarding the movie.

While I do think it will focus primarily on April and the humans, because this is the precedent that has been set by other CG heavy summer blockbusters, I think it may actually be reaching to say that the trailer confirms this. Either way, it will most likely be the case as CG is expensive and Hollywood seems to think that we can only emotionally attach to Human Beings rather than characters whose namesake is the title of the movie. You would think it would be straight forward... make a transformer's movie starring the transformers instead of Sam Witwicky and a TMNT movie starring the Turtles instead of April O'Neil. Eh, What do I know, I am not a huge production company who consistently releases movies that disappoint fans of the franchises on which they are based.

To be fair, Platinum Dunes is not the only transgressor of this type of thing. Just consider how little we actually see Iron Man in the Iron Man movies, probably should have titled that one Tony Stark.(to be fair, at least Tony Stark IS iron man, so it is a little different). :tlol:

Maybe it looks that way in the trailer because they don't have much of the "turtle" stuff done yet. Plus this is just a teaser. I don't know...It just seems like we're jumping the gun here yet again

All that as in the focus of the entire movie can be determined in what is described as a very short trailer for the movie.

A trailer that seems to go out of its way to HIDE the turtles until near the end of the trailer.

Except that it wasn't that at all. I was asking a real question as I really wanted to see where people stood and if they were serious about their feelings on the movie and also bring up my confusion with the whole not wanting to see something but still seeing it thing.

You're going around trying to get at people for saying things you don't like and insinuating that they're in denial. Come on man. It's obvious that some people aren't going to be 'talked' or 'yelled' out of their opinions. So just let it be.
