Batman Begins script treatment for TMNT?
I think it was Andrew NDB on here, cool dude btw ...
But I remember reading a post of his recently but can't seem to find it where it was suggested that there was apparently a Batman Begins-esque serious, faithful to the source material the way Batman Begins was a loose adaptation of "The Man Who Falls" and Frank Miller's "Year One". I think he said it was a screen play adaptation that was gritty, and serious but ultimately deemed "too dark" so they went in a different direction. Does anyone know where I could find or read this script? Any other info at all on this? |
Andrew NDB is not a cool dude

Anyway, that script was not released to the public. |

It was written when Nickeloedeon first comissioned the film. It was very much based on the Mirage comic, and was said to be really dark and gritty. Borderline R rated. And in the end, it was too dark for Nick and Paramount. |

I've been trying to get my hands on the other drafts. Miller said they bounced around two or three different drafts of the project. I'm not convinced that the AICN review is from a legit draft. |

I think YO was obviously wayyyyyyy more heavy-handed with the old gritty 70s cop film vibe. It's a shame WB didn't use that for the basis of the animated YO movie instead of the direct comic adaptation. It's definitely my fav of all of the unproduced Batman scripts I've read. So does anyone here have leads on the Fusco TMNT script? |
