Donatello does game shows!

Us TMNT fans imagine Donatelle as the brains of the bunch, figuring out such information that would sometimes make Raphael say "This is an educational show, is it?" It's only natural that Donatello's OT voice actor, Barry Gordon would appear in a number of game shows before he got the role.

-The Dating Game (courtesy of the TMNT 1987 25th anniversary rerunion; his episode may not exist anymore due to wiping) Likely sometime in the late '60s/early '70s).
-The New $25,000 Pyramid (at least three weeks/15 shows in 1982-83). He was nearly strangled following one $25,000 win, in which the husband of the contestant picked her and Barry about five feet above the ground. There was also a buzz for mentioning a "french potato" since there was no such thing.
-Tattletales in 1983. Did you know that at the time Barry Gordon was married to Sally Julian, a short-lived hostess on Sale of the Century?
-GO (Two weeks in 1983, a short-lived word game where two players alternate words to hope the contestant will respond) Vicki Lawrence (of Mama's Family fame) was the celebrity rival partner, who also competed with him one week on $25K Pyramid.
-Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour (1984, final week). Barry only participated in the Hollywood Squares half, but it sadly turned out to be Gene Rayburn's final week for hosting any Match Game incarnation. He was the top middle square.

Here is a clip of the MG/HS one in case you haven't seen. I'd love to see a TMNT story involving some game show with Don as a contestant someday. I'd imagine for the other turtles on some game show, Raph would get many wrong answers being quick to the buzzer, Leo too hesitant to answer, and Mike would be stumped on many.

Interesting find, never knew he was a game show contestant (fast forward to 33:30 of that clip to see Donatello/Barry Gordon). He sounds just like Donatello there is that his natural voice? And I think there was an episode "Turtles On Trial" where the TMNT go on a game show? Can't remember for sure though I have to rewatch the episode to see what it was about.

Outside of TMNT I only remember hearing Barry Gordon's iconic voice as the Quik Rabbit in the old school Nestle Quik commercials. I always wanted to see a crossover between the two, like Donatello doing a Nestle Quik commercial or something. Every time a Quik commercial came on I would think it's Donatello talking at first.

Awesome find. I bet Barry had a lot of fun doing that.

But that's not all! Uncle Phil was on one too!

And he was in the middle of some crazy action regarding Playboy. I actually watched this inferior version of Match Game when it aired, and I was annoyed at Judy Tenuda often with her loud mouth. And the prize amounts are the same as they were in the '70s that feel more fit by 1998 for a cable show. He appeared a full week. That now makes five of the nine TMNT main voice actors (James, Barry, Cam, Townsend, and Renae) who have appeared on at least one game show.
