Are the comics just the CARTOONS retold?!?!?!
i saw issue 1 and 2 and they are exactly like the cartoon, same story, if so, ,why bother getting them?!?
I thought they would be totally original storys. |
Well, they are interesting if you're really into comics, since they portray the story and characters of the TV show in that kind of setting. A little bit different drawing style, a little more detail in it as well. Its just a different take for the curious.
Beyond that they are kind of pointless. But that's why we have the Mirage comic. |
I heard that after a few more issues, like when the comic gets really popular, they'll start doing their own story.

I think its after issue #4, then it goes in a different direction.
|
I haven't picked them up yet(can't find em) but from what I understand it's the same as the show except with a little more detail and some parts that weren't in the show. And after issue 4 or 5 it's gonna go into it's own stories.

they better

there going there own way after issue 4
and there really good trust me I thought the same thing, its gonna suck, its just a retelling of the show. but no its better than the show! |
Haven't seen the new comics myself, but when the Archie series started, it was only adaptions of the first shows in the original cartoon, and it evolved nicely, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

yeah, the first 4 issues will be based on the show.
however, the first two issues have been great. its nothing like the show. this would be about as much as you can draw as simliarities b/t the show and the cartoon so far (as an example): "there are ninja turtles. some bad guys rob a van. the turtles stop them." not much detail in common, if you get my point =). i loved the way issue 2 was told. very cool. pick 'em up! |
