Turtles Forever Question
Hey just a quick question, was Turtles Forever part of Fast Forward or BTTS? I noticed the art direction was more FF than BTTS because of the no pupils. On wiki it says Turtles Forever was the finale to the 2k3 series. All of them were 2k3, but was it made after BTTS ended?
p.s- I can't believe the 2k3 era is already over, for a while now. wow. |
It took place after BTTS, as it features alot of elements from BTTS that weren't part of FF.
So, it was part of BTTS.:) |
The 2007 movie while not a huge success did sell a lot of toys, so they cancelled the second season of FF to make the show more similar to the movie which is why they got pupils and a re-design. Turtles Forever is set after BTTS, however since it was the celebrating the 25th anniversary and for the fans, most of them preferred the earlier seasons so they re-designed them to mix the styles and making them look a little more like the original show. I think the official version was "To make them look closer to how they looked through most of the run of the show".

It used the same lair as BTTS. It was the series finale in a sense.

It wasn't a series finale for anything. Turtles Forever was its own thing.

In addition to being set after BTTS, this was clearly the last episode(s) produced for 4kids. We even got the return of the Utrom Shredder after being exiled thanks to the help of the OT Shredder/Krang. Hun/the Purple Dragons never got defeated beforehand, so they make one final fight. Karai's reaction is especially what makes this finale worth watching, in addition to the other universes.

I thought the wedding episode was the final episode of BttS?

It seems like some people consider TF to be part of BttS, and some look at it as completely separate. Personally, I think it's like saying Return of the Joker was part of the third season of Batman Beyond - it just isn't true.
