TMNT characters that were only in one incarnation

What TMNT characters were in only one TMNT incarnation and no others? For example, Lord Dregg was only in the Fred Wolf cartoon, Cody Jones only in the 4kids cartoon.

CyberCubed 05-13-2014 08:09 AM

The majority of villains/one-shot characters for each cartoon were only in one incarnation.

Also most of the 4kids characters other than Hun and Angel till they reappear.

Faaaaar too many to list. Seriously. Take the Archie series, for example.

Lou 500 05-13-2014 09:24 AM

Mona Lisa from the original series. I hope she pops up in the Nick one eventually.

In fact, the majority of TMNT charcters are only in one incarnation.

* Dheeraj from the Dreamwave Comic
* Aska and Sisyphus from the Tournament Fighters series
* Tempestra, Shreeka, Berzerko, Titanus, Dregg, Carter, Lotus Blossom, Zach, Mona Lisa (unless you count the toy) and several others from the OT.

Yep. Outside of the main cast and Baxter, Leatherhead, the Ratking, Karai and more recently Krang, almost every version of the TMNT has come with its own roster of villains and supporting characters. There's surprisingly little cross-pollination.

In fact, I could probably give you the full list of characters who have been in more than one major incarnation off the top of my head. Let's try. In no particular order:

The turtles
Splinter
Oroku Saki
Casey Jones
April O'Neil
Karai
Krang
Baxter Stockman
Leatherhead
The Ratking
Robyn O'Neil
Wingnut
Screwloose
Slash
Bebop
Rocksteady
The Neutrinos (Zakk, Trask, Kala, Tribble)
Tokka
Rahzar
Hun
Angel
The Triceratons (Zog)
The Justice Force
Nobody
Metalhead (robot turtle)
Metalhead (Justice Force)
Chromedome
Fugitoid/Professor Honeycutt
The Federation
The Foot Elite
Foot Mystics
Tang Shen
Hamato Yoshi
Kirby
Klunk
Mondo Gecko
Usagi Yojimbo (crossover character)
Renet
Savanti Romero
The fishpeople
Mutagen Man
Marlin (the big-game hunter)
Raptarr
Irma
Vernon Fenwick (upcoming)
Scumbug
Lord Simultaneous
Cousin Sid
The King of Thieves
Dr. Dome

And ... is that it? I think that might be it.

And yeah, that leaves out a ton of notable or major characters from their particular versions who've never appeared in any others.

You left out Tragg.

Its rather surprising that up until recently we never saw Slash outside the original toon, Archie, and the toys/videogames of the 90's. And now all of a sudden he's in both IDW and Nick.

Same for Bebop/Rocksteady who were OT and Archie exclusive up until IDW brought them back and Nick will too.

Its more noticeable to see Krang return as both General Krang in IDW and Kraang Prime in Nick. (And before anyone asks, yes Kraang Prime is THE Krang)

I wonder why Mona Lisa didn't also appear in games and Archie comics of ninja turtles throughout the OT era, was there also something about "the show is boy-orientated" thing and was there other supposed barriers for her character? She was a one-episode character, I know, but I also wanted to note the outside of the cartoon that she was in. I could go question about Lotous Blossom but then Konami and Archie themselves created other ninjas - kunoichis exactly and April later there became one too.

Ask Steve Murphy. He didn't use the Punk Frogs or the Neutrinos either, despite the similar universe.

I don't know why he used some of the classic mutant characters but not others. Its really strange.

Punk frogs need to return somehow...
