I know that Shredder and Baxter Stockman will apear in the new cartoon but what about Krang Bebop and Rocksteady. What's so great about Baxter Stockman that he gets a part in the new cartoon? I always though he was kind of stupid. What always made me laugh was starting in Son of Return of the Fly how becoming a fly somehow made him super strong and fast so he just sits there and beats the crap out of Shredder Bebop and Rocksteady. Bebop and Rocksteady aren't really that important but I think that Krang should have an appearance instead of Baxter Stockman.

Well, Baxter Stockman, the insane scientist, was in the original Mirage comics, which is what they're taking ideas from for the most part. He won't be anything like the whiny, spineless wimp from the original cartoon series.

I know Laird said they wouldn't be using Krang, although they might bring the Utroms in, or Bebop and Rocksteady.

Hmmm...I wonder whether Baxter will be african american in this cartoon? I wonder why they changed his race for the old cartoon?

I didn't know Baxter was originally African American until I got the second issue of the first volume. They probably won't be changing his race for the new cartoon, since they'll be following the comics.

I don't know about this...I don't know if the world has yet escaped the PC era.

Yeah, I know Bebop was originally black too, but they only showed the human Bebop in the first two episodes, and not for very long.

I guess we'll find out once the cartoon begins showing on Fox Box. :smile:

I wish they would bring back Krang. He was a great character on the original series. He always seemed to have a great plan to use and would always blame everything that went wrong on Shredder. I just really hope that Baxter doesn't take that kind of role. I just can't see him giving orders to shredder like Krang did.

Shredder and Baxter never worked together in the comics, so I doubt they'd team up, neither seems the type.

I guess Peter Laird has declared that Shredder is an essential villian and Krang isn't.

That's too bad. They had a really funny rapport/rivalry going on.

My favorite Shredder and Krang moment? When Shredder returns from the Technodrome having lost the Medi-Laser that they need to fix some of the Technodrome's organic circuits, Krang starts berating him. Shredder then removes a metal panel from the wall and places it over Krang's body's stomach so he can't see.

krang i believe has just an important role in the storylines as shredder.bebop and rocksteady were originally foot soldiers as you know but they have built up into the original storyline as far as baxter being african american i never knew

Now that I've started watching the cartoons again, I can't help but think that Krang and Shredder act like a mixed-up married couple. They're always arguing and berating each other!

Yeah I noticed that, it's hilarious, they're the two funniest characters in the cartoon! :grin:

LOL! I've always enjoyed the interaction between Krang and Shredder! They're so funny...I liked the interactions between Shredder and his goons, Rocksteady and Bebop. He was always insulting them! :lol:
