Cartoon Art Museum Reception and Book Launch

I don't know how many of you will be in San Francisco next weekend, but the opening reception for the Cartoon Art Museum's TMNT exhibition will be held on Saturday, June 14 from 7-9pm. See cartoonart.org for more details about the exhibition.

If you're on Facebook, you can check in on the event here:

Should be a lot of fun! Check out original art from the first issue of TMNT from 1984, along with Archie Comics art and model sheets and storyboards from the 1980s animated series, meet animators from the current Nickelodeon series, hang out with Mirage-era artists Ken Mitchroney and Mark Bode, meet longtime Mirage secretary Molly Bode, and, oh yeah, I'll be there, too, signing copies of TMNT: The Ultimate Visual History. We'll have it on sale at the Cartoon Art Museum ten days before it's available anywhere else.

Hope to see some of you there!

Wish I could be there! Have fun & good luck with the event!

I would love to go, but I would have to make the drive from L.A though, decisions, decisions...:ohwell:

I'm going. Hoping to get the book too. Here's to the next 30 years of TMNT.

Living across the country is tough.......

how much will the book cost??? same as on amazon.com any bonuses by getting it the day of its release? pretty excited about it.. COWABUNGAAAA

I am hoping to get to this, but the timing might not work out for me. Blah.

I'll pass, but please post photos for those who can attend! For those in the East, Pittsburgh's ToonSeum is scheduled to have a TMNT exhibit this fall according to Andrew Farago, so stay tuned!

I wish I lived even remotely close to there so I could attend. Seems like it'll be a lot of fun. I'm hoping to see some cool pics from those who can attend! :)
